Okafor and Camby trades are appealing. Camby is realistic, they are very much over the cap and getting a young shot blocker like Williams is appealing. Okafor is not. He is their franchise player, they gave up Brandan Wright because they saw Okafor as a win now type guy.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Black Republican @ Jan 12 2008, 03:46 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I like the Miami one.</div> adding Haslem makes us contenders and solves our O problems??? yeah, right
The Denver trade would be appealling...I'd hate to lose Sean Williams or Marcus but to bring back Camby and pair him up with Boone would be a very dynamic frontcourt especially with Nenad coming back...JR Smith would be our sixth man a guy who is a playmaker to put next to Boki when players need a break...it be tempting.
I know your a commish and everything but I had to give my opinion here first off Trade #1 for Haslem why ? Sean Williams is going to be a better player than Udonis when it's all said and done plus you control Sean for 4 yrs. and a very cheap price for what he's giving you, Mags expires after this season dangle him to another team. Your making Miami a better future team and NJ a question mark after this deal. Trade # 2 w/ Denver OMG com'on man, JR Smith good talent has some issues and bringing him back to NJ IDK what it would do for his makeup, Camby I love him and I would be ecstatic getting rid of Collins, but Sean and Marcus again players you control and might lead the Nets post Kidd and Kirstic. Marcus Williams is the PG in waiting, Sean Williams is the developing big in waiting. Camby is already aging and has been some what injury prone, why do this deal especially paying him more than Sean and Marcus would combine, remember the plan is for LeBron to come home... Trade # 3 again why ? Emeka will be a FA if you want him get him in the offseason if you can shed cap space, Morrison you mean cave man who hasn't played a full season at all ? again why, you have AW who can do more give him time, under Kiki he'll learn to better his shooting mechanics like Croshere and Dirk did. And another thing you realize all the deals you posted hurt the Nets future in cap space and a little flexibility, put it this way no Marcus Williams NJ would have to give Kidd a blank check, no SW or AW and Morrison gets hurt whose is your wing player ? and Emeka would be heavily persuited by sucker teams wanting to give him a max contract, so we lose out here. What I haven't heard are some small deals that make sense for instance long contracts for shorter and talent. if Chicago wants T-mac aka 1/2 man, 1/2 a season why not dangle Carter Chicago Trade or go talk w/ the Clippers Clippers Trade point is get flexibility back, improve an area needed and get shorter contracts to free up space for
I never said I would make any of these trades. I just want to see what people think Sean Williams is worth. I will say that if the Nets trade Sean Williams, they are not considering the future at all. It's purely a short-term grab at a title run.

Also I think Chicago needs to keep him so fans don't get to freaked out by how they already gave up on a player who they passed up Brandon Roy and Lamarcus Aldridge for. Selfosha I think could turn into a quality 6th man if given minutes. I think while this trade may not be what you would expect for a superstar like Carter it would help solify chemistry and bench depth which would hopefully take us to the next level. I would want there first rounder but I think they wouldn't budge there.

Idk. The Nuggets trade would be okay. The Heat trade, idk. I'm not really sold on Haslem any more. But I'm not really sure I'd make any of the trades in this thread.
how does getting Haslem make us contenders? is he gonna start draining 3s? if Ammo was healthy, Id love the Cats one.
i think having sean and boone is redundant. they are both the same players, good athletes, shotblockers, rebounders with no offense. if the nets want to win this year, they should trade sean (nobody GM knows who boone is) for a legit PF. gasol?
