man that was a great vc he had 43 points with like 10 minutes to go 43 of the 72 nets points at the time mighta had 55+

and he would not hesitate to shoot 3's now he pump fakes and then turns it over 50% of the time.

That was a different player, he was on a mission to prove he still had "it".

in the 04-05 season VC attempted 313 3pt FGs, in 05-06 he attempted 367 threes, last year he attempted 437 THREES and only played 3 more games than he had the previous season. His agression has gone down every year. We will never see the old vince again

Damn, I remember that game like it was yesterday. The Spurs had absolutely no answers for VC and the only way to slow him down was to try to get him ejected. Bowen is such a dirty player.

the good old days... before our team turned into a bunch of emotionless old pussys..
Why can't we play like a team and have each others back and go at the opponent like its war like in the first quarter of the Celtics gfame the other day? That was the most exciting quarter of basketball Ive watched all year

said it before, thorn relies to much on players with skill instead or raw athletic ability. Guys like boki and wright are slow an unathletic while guys like mikki, house and hassan all were ahtletes who could run.

they both wanted to stay. instead, we signed crappy ol' magloire and a retired DA and Malik. imagine having both krstic and Mikki along with Boone and sean? with House draining threes

argh, bowen had to spoil vince's career high game. he would have had 52 at least. its funny how vince is a prolfiic scorer yet has only hit the big 5-0 twice.

That was the best year of Vince because he was pretty much the only option, im sorry, he WAS the only option on the team to score so he had to do everything that year (with Jkidd helping tremendously, of course). I remember ESPN saying MVP canidates were Nash, Shaq and Vince.

Tmac had his year where he was the best in the league - 02-03
Kobe had his year where he was the best in the league - 05-06
and Vince had his year where he was the best in the league - 04-05

he is a different player now, with age obviously, but now he has a 25ppg scorer by his side and I feel he is playing smarter now. He is a much better passer and rebounder and he drives more. Once that ankle gets more rest and he becomes more nervous about the standings, I believe that he will be back to this type of performance. Maybe not exactly, but this mentality was the best for me as a Vince fan and a Nets fan.

One thing that makes me believe that is all his emotion this year. He is really into it, way more than last year, so that puts to rest any doubts that I might have had about him "not caring" or what not. He is really into it this year [IMG]

yup...mikki shot 60% and always had the mentality of going to "war"...had lots of belief and confidence in himself and teammates...house always had that look of always wanting and believing he can make that "killer three" dagger to sink into the heart of an opponent...hassan adams was a ferocious defender and will attack opponents in offense...
