Can we ****ing cut Kwame. Wat the ****, he missed a game winning dunk and now we've got to rely on him for two free throws. **** that, cut his ass. There are centers out there that we can trade for...
O..M..G Kwame hit the game winning free throw and then committed the game wining foul that wasn't called. A win is a win, but you know everyone in the arena...players and coaches included, had their minds on Bynum. He won't be with us tomorrow up in Seattle so we need to come out firing on all cylinders. Odom needs to come into the game with the mentality of being the 2nd option.
Bynum will miss tommorow, **** were stuck with Kwame. Staples Center was in shock when he was injured, you even had Mitch and Jim Buss in the lockeroom and thats saying something. If it was somebody like Kwame nobody will give a shit.
It's funny (and a little pathetic) how broken up I am over this. I'm sure you guys can relate. Even if it's 2-6 weeks, our schedule only gets harder from here on out. Check it out, we play some really hard teams in the next couple weeks, and then there is, of course, the 9 game road trip at the end of the month. F*ck me. Also--the end of the game there really summed up Kwame's career. Comes up way short when it counts, then, aided by some dumb luck, inexplicably gets by to see another day.
I don't care about this stretch or the seeds or the record, as long as Andrew heals and we don't lose a playoff seeding. If we do start losing more often, who cares? I hope we can just hang out to a playoff seed and get Bynum back in time to get his groove on again, so he'll be 100% ready for the playoffs. I don't expect to lose that much though, this is a better team than last year. Fisher and Bryant won't let it happen.
GOOD NEWS! Got this from nomoreshaq on Clublakers <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>drew was on 570.. said that he didnt think it was too bad, said after he iced it it felt a lot better. says he CAN PUT WEIGHT ON IT, but can't really take a step forward? also says that the pain is right below the kneecap and slightly to the right. never had a problem. kept on saying that he doesnt think its a big deal.</div> So he can put weight on it, and he doesn't think it's a big deal. I'm not sure if he is being 100% honest, hopefully he is.
I don't know, I'd wait for confirmation on that. I find it rather odd that Bynum got to am570 so quick, but did no television interviews.
Well he was in the lockeroom or something, so I don't think they would all come in with cameras and stuff. I don't know, just hope for the best. My biggest fear is that he will rush back and re-injure himself. He needs to take his time to heal off, like I said before, no team in the West with the exception of San Antonio scares me. If we are 100% healthy come playoffs, I'm sure we will still do damage, granted we stay in the playoffs, and we don't play San Antonio
Ugh of course, when I change the channel they interview him! My bad Brian, glad everything is good! Probably just a sprain, hopefully he can be back for the PHX game, but I doubt it.

Doubt he can be back soon. Even if he can, I would actually want him to sit out for another week or so just to make sure everything is alright. The worst possible thing that can happen is him re-injuring himself. They still need to do an MRI though, let's hope they don't find anything new. Bynum thinks he's alright, that's the most important thing
So, Bynum said the pain is on the knee-cap and the side. Could be a Patella ligament injury. He said he could walk and put weight on it. So...who knows...a week to two weeks?

I'm trying to stay positive, but Bynum was in clear pain on the court grasping his knee. I'm hoping he reacted that way because he's never felt a pain like it before and wasn't sure how to deal with it, but to curl into the fetal position and hold the area that hurt. This exact same bad luck happened to the team last year. If Bynum is out for an extended period of time we're in trouble because we have no depth at the center spot. With Kwame starting Kobe is going to have to play like he did the last two years and start going for 35+ for us to compete. We know we can't count on Odom to step up offensively so we'll need to rely on Kobe to do the scoring for two people. The Lakers should have added another big body the minute they found out Chris Mihm was going to be injured for an extended period of time. They could have spent the last two months working a new player into the rotation and familiarizing them in the offensive and defensive sets. Our season rests on the knee of a 20 year old.

I've got full confidence in Bynum's word. It's just a little sprain Shape, nothing to be worried about. The Patella tendon, most likely. God damnit, this kid needs to speak up. He's got that Shaq mumble!
