The New Jersey Nets (18 - 18) vs. The Portland Trailblazers(22 - 14) Time: Monday, Janurary 14, 7:30 PM Location: Izod Center TV: Yes Network Radio: WFAN 660 AM
Projected Starters: New Jersey Nets
(Richard Jefferson, Sean Williams, Josh Boone, Vince Carter, Jason Kidd)
Projected Starters: Portland Trailblazers
(Martell Webster, Lamarcus Aldridge, Joel Przybilla, Brandon Roy, Jarrett Jack)
Despite the fact that the Blazers lost their last game, they are playing very well. If the Nets play down to the Portland that was in the beginning of this season, they will lose badly. Portland is a young and energetic team while the Nets are an old team that seldom plays with much energy. The X-factor the Nets this game will be their energy. If the match Portland's energy, they will win. Prediction: Nets win in overtime --- 105-103.
Well, I'll be looking forward to watching the Blazers play for a whole game,,,,if I actually get to catch this game.
Portland played a Double OT game against Toronto yesterday and had to fly into NJ. Hopefully they are worn out. We've already beaten them once anyway. If Toronto can beat them, so can we.
hopefully Portland plays like Detriot did against the Knicks last night...ouch! Portland is one of my favorite teams to watch this season. I'm looking forward to this game tonight. One thing I noticed about the Blazers is that they really don't have a prescense in the post and don't drive too often. If we can keep the periminter and outside tight on D, we should be fine.

Makes it a bit easier on Kidd on D.
Roy wasn't 100% going into yesterdays game, either, making his 33/10 that much more impressive. I wouldn't expect that team to be very tired, though. They are on young legs.
I just want to see a big game out of Josh and Sean...there the only reason I still watch the games at this point.
I'm looking forward to seeing the Blazers play, I haven't had much of a chance outside of highlights. They've been one of the (if not the) biggest surprises this year.
The big guys need to stay out and cover Aldridge on the outside. He does not miss when he's open from 15-18 feet. Great shooter. Blazers have so much athleticism.

Frustrating because with Outlaw and Roy playing well, it seems like nobody on that team misses a shot. At least nobody outside of Jack and Rodriguez.

That makes me feel a lil better going into this game. Although this is one game w/ the Nets where I don't really care who wins, I just feel it'll be an entertaining game to watch. Although it would make me much happier if the Nets won

Imagine that combined with a low post Oden, scary, scary. The Blazers 1-15 genuinely care about winning, over their own stats, and that is how chemistry develops so quickly. They aren't running a complicated system, they're just playing team ball, no matter what 5 are on the court. If you can play passing lanes and attack the ball handlers with doubles, you can take them out of their rhythm....plus with those tired legs, we should be able to blow them out in the 4th.
they are gonna want revenge, the nets are not a good team. Portland wins, aldridge and roy have big nights
