I do and I am hooked. I like to manage multiple teams at a time, so I'm only on 2010/2011. Most of the players I have found have been in two trips with Watford. Omar Benzerga is very impressive and Eddie Johnson (USA) nearly lead the Prem in scoring last season. My biggest surprise this season is Frederick Piquionne who is currently a goal behind Rooney in the Prem after being signed on a free.

I just signed up at http://fmdiscussion.com it looks neat mate! I'm playing with Arsenal right now and I'm top of the table and signed Benzema from Lyon. By the way on that Fmdiscussion forum I just found they have premier league kits and face packs! I've been looking for those for ages! Thanks mate! I really recommend it.

There's a lot of forums for FM discussion on the Internet. FMGamer is the one I go to...

As for the game itself, I haven't played in 2 months. Got boring.

I think FMgamer is nice too, but I think FMdiscussion looks more user friendly. Anyway I just signed Pato from AC Milan for 20M pounds for my Arsenal Squad.

I'd like to think I'm pretty good at it, but I'm not absolutely awesome. I have some great training schedules and am currently trying to make a good tactic for various teams but it is pretty tricky.

What team are you currently managing?

Man United usually. It's pretty easy to make a tactic to get them to win virtually everything. What I really want to do is create a tactic to get a team like Aston Villa or West Ham to win the League. That's an achievement.

To be honest with you all, the game is getting stale due to the same texts and confrontations over and over. There hasn't been much of an improvement or any true additions to that field to make the game more exciting and fresh. Still a top quality game if you haven't played the previous versions, but I think this will be my last FM game until they make some massive changes.

Well, I guess it's what the 2D engine was for...

However, I still only find myself playing the game with "Text Commentary Only" and "No Replays."

I must say though, I agree! The game, while still as awesome as ever, is just getting a little old for the ol' gamer.

CM01/02 was the best though. Got up to 2040 in that one.

The game's settings are just always the same, that's what I wrote about. Always the same messages popping up with players and other people making the same statements on the media screen over and over. The mind-games feature against other managers being the worst repetition.

I don't know how you could possibly have played that game until 2040 back in the day considering that a single season with a club team averages out anywhere between 7 and 12 hours of time to go through. Back in the day I could play perhaps 4 hours straight, but that's it, I had to go out and do something active afterward or I'd feel like crap.

These days I can't stand playing any video games longer then one hour or two at the most and even then I find myself not playing again for 2 or 3 days if not longer. Once I hit 24 everything changed and I just have too many responsibilities. It sucks considering that I have a nice season going on right now in NHL 08 and I'd really like to finish my second season with Cagliari Calcio in FM08 before I call it quits, even if it is getting boring.

I agree with M21. I haven't even played the FM08 version yet, and I'm not sure I will. I was hooked on FM07 in the summer, but things change...now, because of a 50 day strike we had in school, we're learning more than 40 hours a week, some days from 8-5:30 PM, in order to make up for lost hours. We had a period in which there were 5 tests in 7 days, and the end isn't near. My day is basically built of school, basketball practice, studying for tests and homework (some of which I can't even get done during the day, so I either finish at midnight or do it the next day in school), working as an assistant coach for 1st and 2nd graders and, once in a while, having some time to play the PSP/Wii/PS2 or some b-ball. Sometimes, those things collide (ex. on Thursday, I had practice, work and school at the same time and had to pick and on Monday, work and school collide weekly). Anyway, sorry for the rant, but I just don't have time for stuff anymore, let alone FM which takes up hours and hours of your day.
