Except for the #48 notched along side kobe's name in the points column of the box score and his buzzer beater to win the game...

I WAS NOT IMPRESSED by how he played, especially how the lakers played.

1st kobe, he shot 44 freakin shots i mean, WTF!!! he had 4 - 7 fts (wtf happened here?), 2 - 8 3's (decent), 2 REBS & 2 ASSISTs to signify that it was really Kobe vs. Seattle last night and 1 STEAL to show that there was NO DEFENCE!

    2nd 'the teammates':
Although odom was decent, 14 rebs, 7 assists... he only had 6 freakin points on 3 - 15 fg%!!!
Kwame had 4 shots... i could do that in half a qtr... LOL
Fisher should have taken more shots!

Turiaf was the only other 'semi-brightspot' where he had 12 pts b4 halftime but disappeared in the 2nd due to fouls

If we play like this, then we will most certainly drop in the rankings

Kobe HAD to shoot 44 shots because we know who didn't step his game up. Kobe busted his ass last night to give us a chance to win the game.

The bench also played big for us with the Farmar-JCritt duo. Ronny Turiaf was solid, but got into foul trouble. Personally I think Turiaf should start for us at center and keep Kwame with the second unit. There's no flow to the offense when he's on the court and Kobe gets swarmed because teams don't view Kwame as a threat to score the basketball. At least Turiaf can shoot a mid-range jumper and make his free throws.

I'd also like to see Puke on the bench. He's not healthy and he gets over matched every night at his position. I'd prefer him with the second unit where he can pass the ball to Farmar and JCritt for scoring opportunities.

Our defense is struggling which means Ariza needs to start because he's our second best perimeter defender behind Kobe and is also great at going after rebounds. He'll bring some energy to first unit, which was looking lethargic last night.

I want to throttle the uninspired performance of Odom last night, but he's not worth the words anymore.

I agree that Kobe had more shots this game. He was fairly efficient at it too. 48 points on 21-44 FG/FGA. The Lakers team needed him to create his own with Bynum out. Obviously Kwame can't create like Bynum.

Odom's scoring output was terrible, reminds me of JKidd this season, 3-15 FG/FGA. At least Odom also had a Kidd-like game in other categories bringing 14 boards and 7 dimes, a steal, a block, and only 2 TOs.

Odom killed us on the defensive end. The Sonics ran the pick and roll to death on us and scored every time because Odom was late on the defensive rotations or didn't smother the guard when a switch came.

One play that made me furious was when he allowed Ridnour to go right around him on a switch without any effort to defend him or make it more difficult. It led to a basket and foul on Turiaf trying to cover Lamar's ass.

Nick Collison had a career game against us last night because Odom couldn't deal with him in the post.

Odom is so damn lazy on the court. How about the play where he didn't secure a rebound with no one around him and ended up slapping it out of his own hands and Jeff Green swooped in to steal it away?

Odom drives me nuts with his apathy especially in crunch time.

You know what was great to see last night? The guys hugging after the game. That kind of camraderie just wasn't there last season. Mitch really doesn't get enough credit for sticking to his guns and bringing the right guys in on this team. I bet he's constantly in "fu*k you" mode and has trust issues thanks to all the sh*t he endured last year.

Yeah he really did, but if I was more concerned with our defense last night than our offense. Coming into this game the Sonics hadn't scored over 100 points in six straight games. Last night they shot over 50% for most of the game and had 91 points after just 3 quarters.

They were getting put back dunks and layups without any resistance and they destroyed us in the pick and roll because Odom was late every time on the rotations or didn't put enough pressure on the PG to create a difficult shot or pass.

He was doing really well as the 3rd and sometimes 4th option on the team, but now that he's #2 again all his flaws are showing up again.

6 points in 45 minutes is flat out pathetic.
