It would not bother me to see Titans DC Schwartz who worked for Belichick in Cleveland and bring Norm to S Florida. After all, BB used to work for Tuna. Further, Norm & John Beck both had some success (it pains me to bring that up) @ BYU.
If Hawaii was smarter they would have gave Chow an offer to replace June Jones. Chow would be a perfect fit back in his home state and i'm sure he would jump at a head coaching position he rightfully deserves and should have received WAY before Lane Kiffin did.
I must admit I was surprised by this move. Seems everytime I've heard Chow's name over the past few years the word "genius" was in the sentence somewhere. I used to hear that about Cameron too once upon a time. I can't argue that Chow shouldn't have gotten a shot long before Lane Kiffin, but, he didn't. There must be a reason for this. I can, however, name a few hundred colleges that should jump at him.

From interviews I've heard him speak he said he prefers to focus on being an offensive coordinator and doesn't like the stress that comes with being head coach. He said he doesn't have the personality for it. Lane Kiffin is a typical Al Davis hire. Cheap, young coach without much of a track record.

Cheap, young coach without much of a track record.</div> This is all true, I definitely think he is best suited as a college OC, but I think he would be a serviceable head coach at the college level as well. Especially at a place like Hawaii where offense is pretty much the only focus. He would be able to use his genius and run wild, and there isn't the scrutiny or egos of the NFL. That being said, in my biased opinion the best coach on the market right now is Jim Mora Jr. He didn't really get a fair shot in Atlanta and has the right combination of youth and experience to connect with his players and win ballgames.
