This is assuming that in the next 5-10 years or so the NBA expands the D-League and makes it so each one of the 30 NBA teams had a D-League team. Where would you put it? Would you put it outside the NY area or would you put it near Brooklyn? Would you follow the D-league team closely if the Nets had their own team?
you mean the Nets are a D-league team? That news to me. I like the idea of having the teams nearish to each other. I'd say put it in NJ when the team moves.
who cares? the d league is for scrubs, no one goes to nets games, why would anyone even think about going to a d leage game
Put it in Long Island (near that proposed Nassau renovation project). Rich suburbanites have a lot of disposable income, but most don't want to drive all the way to Manhattan to watch basketball.
Doubtful we will see the D-League expand to 30 teams......to form something like a true minor league system......I think we'll see overseas expansion before that hits.
But if it were to happen, it'd make sense to have it in NJ if Brooklyn does happen. Having a minor league team close by helps the players moving up and down.

And yes, people would care about the D-League team if we sent down our players there and/or it was in New Jersey/New York.
