Would you do this trade if it was available? Haslem would give us the consistent muscle in the post while Bynum is out. He has a reasonable contract and can play either forward position. Ricky gives us another scorer off the bench and has an $8Million expiring contract.

yes! he freakin injured bynum... ship his a*$ out... i've defended him in the past but this is the last straw
I'd be hesitant on it. We lose our best passer and rebounder. Haslem's game is almost identical to Ronny Turiaf's. The only thing Turiaf needs to work on is staying out of foul trouble. And I've never really liked Davis. We have enough SF/SGs, I don't want him taking minutes away from Ariza and Critt. Also it wasn't Odom's fault, it's not like he intenionally tried to injure Bynum, he was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. Get over people, stuff like this happens all the time.

He's a volume rebounder because his teammates clear out for him to get the ball and he plays a lot of minute. He doesn't hustle for rebounds and hit the offensive glass hard at all like most power forwards do. I think Kobe, Farmar, and Luke pass the ball better than Odom. When the Lakers are moving the ball around it usually stops once it hits Odom's hands. He's more effective when he can face his man up dribble the ball and get into a groove before he shoots it or sets a teammate up. I'm not a big fan of Ricky Davis either, but he's more of a filler than anything else and he will free up extra cap space next summer. Maybe PJax can inspire him to buy into the philosophy of team play and get him to play some defense. Having him could also push some of the other guys harder like Radman and Luke. You're right Haslem is a similar player to Turiaf, but that's what we need right now. We don't have enough depth in the frontcourt and Haslem can play minutes at 3 positions (SF, PF, C) if needed.
