I listened to the 15 minute Kupchak interview this morning. It was pretty dry as usual, but what I took from it is this. Are the Lakers going to make a move? YES Kupchak said the Lakers are not comfortable with their current roster because they need a minimum of two centers. With Mihm (out 1 or 2 more weeks) and Bynum both injured they will look to add another big man. He said they are looking at 4 or 5 players right now, but wouldn't disclose any names. They are trying to evaluate whether they need to sign a player for the remainder of the season or sign someone to a 10 day contract. He doesn't expect anything to get done this week because they want to get more evaluations on Mihm and Bynum before they move forward.

We need someone NOW. We have a game on Monday night, they better get something done by then. Even if it is only a ten day contract, we've got to get a big body on board (sign DJ to a ten day contract). I really don't know how they can evaluate this situation any longer. The only bigs we have actived are Kwame, Lamar, and Ronny. We need another big body right away.
