<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Larry Hughes has two years and $26.5 million left on his contract after this season, which seemingly doesn't fit within Isiah Thomas' parameters.

Yet, the Cavs reportedly have interest in Jamal Crawford, who with a player option has three years and $28 million left on his deal. Cleveland also is after a point guard, but Stephon Marbury recovering from surgery wouldn't solve their immediate need. -- Bergen Record</div>

Crawford has never been one to play any defense. I'm not sure he'd get along with Coach Brown who puts defense ahead of everything else. It's one of the reasons Damon Jones wants out and isn't getting minutes.

Crawford is the type of scorer the Cavs need and unloading Hughes in the process is an added bonus, but I think there are better options out there.

Flip Murray is on the block he did really well when he was in Cleveland a couple of seasons ago.

His defense has been improving (past 3 games, lol).

But he will fit perfectly with the Cavs. Other than Hughes, there's no one who particularly excels defensively on the Cavs. Jamal will fit right in.

James is the only one on that team is a good scorer. Ilgauskas is decent, but he's never been the type to take over a game. He'll give you 13-15 PPG every game. I know everyone is enamored by Gibson and his shooting, but he's the product of open shots that James creates after being double/triple teamed. He's not good at creating his own shots from what I've seen.

In terms of clutchness, Crawford will be better than anyone on Cleveland.

All of that means there's no way Crawford is heading to Cleveland. Isiah will not touch that contract of Hughes' and no one on the roster other than James is worth getting from Cleveland.

Btw, I never realized how many overpaid players they have: Hughes, Snow, Marshall, Damon Jones, Pavlovic.

Cleveland has some ugly deals no doubt. The irony is all the money spent on those guys will likely end up being spent to extend LeBron.

Even Isaiah's said he doesn't want to touch Hughes' contract: it's that bad. I don't know if I want Crawford to be perfectly frank, I'd rather have a player who isn't as good at shooting the three but can really help out defensively (i.e. what Hughes was supposed to be).
