<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Hornets Seek A Shooting Guard The Hornets continue to have trade discussions, but Coach Byron Scott said they are not trying to make a deal to just get over the hump, but to make a successful playoff run in the Western Conference. The Hornets likely are seeking to add a shooting guard off the bench. Scott said after practice Tuesday that no reserve is safe from being traded. Most of the speculation is that the Hornets are trying to move Rasual Butler in a package deal that involves another player or draft picks. -- The Times-Picayune</div>
I wonder how JR Smith would have turned out for them if he could have gotten along with Byron Scott. He would have been a nice wing player for Chris Paul to utilize.
^ I'd lean towards horribly For all his talent, JR hasn't really done much with it other than the occasional scoring outburst during garbage time in days gone by

Just for this season...</div> While I find it hilarious that yet another post of yours is about Gerald Green, like the rest of them, I do think Green for Melvin Ely and a small salary filler makes a lot of sense for both teams. Both are expiring contracts, so financially it doesn't hurt either club. New Orleans can afford to take a flyer on Gerald and if he doesn't work out, they can just let him go. On the other hand, Minnesota is desperate for some size. Ely gives them that.

He is having a pretty good season and is a great shooting guard.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (pegs @ Jan 28 2008, 09:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>What happened to MoPete? Did I miss something?</div> big disappointment! Just doesn't fir in, and is to inconsistent. he's also injury prone. Pargo has done a veru nice job, but he's better coming off the bench.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (tradebark @ Jan 29 2008, 12:51 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>They're looking for a shooting guard off the bench.. microwave kinda thing</div> No they have one in Pargo.
I don't really consider Pargo a SG...and if he is, he's awfully undersized, in fact Yahoo has him listed as a PG, and at 6'1", I'd agree with that. While he may have a gunners mentality, he's most certainly the backup PG. Honestly, I wouldn't doubt if the Hornets looked at Gerald Green. He's cheap and isn't much of a risk since he's got an expiring contract. Not too mention the fact that he's a great shooter and could help space the floor. He also knows how to finish above the rim, and that could be a deadly combo with Chris Paul running the show.
Pargo is a SG, he plays some PG tho, but Paul and Pargo are in the court together most of the time. Gerald Green= J.R Smith and Kirk Snyder v.2
Peterson has been far too inconsistent. His stats are about par for his career, but if you look at his game long, its all over the place. I can see the Hornets looking for a bit more stability from the position, because it looks like they got '07 Mo-Pete instead of '06 Mo-Pete.
