How Commited is Frank to Boone and Williams?
January 17, 2008, 11:43 am Lawrence Frank told reporters before the Knick game he has no plans to make lineup changes, but Dave D’Alessandro thinks he detected some doubt about starting Josh Boone and Sean Williams. In the Star-Ledger’s early edition, he wrote: “(Frank) isn’t sold on this being a permanent solution or even one for the long term”. Against the Knicks, the two had 34 points, 17 rebounds and a block, shooting 14 for 21.

Most people get a player like Williams and proclaim him the future. Our coach rather says he might not even be the future starter. Nice!

He is just trying to keep them motivated, if they think their jobs are safe they won't try as hard. There is no way he goes back to Collins/Allen frontcourt.

Exactly. The first thought that entered my mind when seeing this thread was that he better be strongly committed to the youngsters because having Allen and/or Collins start is not going to improve the situation one bit.
