Jizzy, straight up, and if they were in the same stage of their career, and had the same contract, I'd take Shaq. But 20mil is too much for someone who can't even average double figures.

What makes you think they're tanking? It's a bit too soon to even begin that sort of speculation

stop with this BS, Riley doesnt want to be coach, he told Shaq to take some extra weeks off before and he's starting to play daequen cook and wright.

Ok, so besides your wild guessing, what makes you think they're tanking this early?

Plus weren't you sold on Dorrell Wright?

Like, I can't believe you're actually making a case that an organization is tanking a season after ~35 games. Do you really believe that or are you just arguing for arguments sake?

Jizzy, the Miami Heat is not run by, or consisted of, forum members, nor are they paid on an NBA2k8 pay-scale.

Kidd would be a waste on that team and it's about the surrounding players. We all know Kidd is at his best in the open court because he is not a great shooter. With Jefferson, Boone, Sean and Wright in the lineup he can still run. When they go halfcourt you have Shaq instead of Carter, which opens up the perimeter for players like Nachbar, Allen and Krstic. Plenty of different players to bring balance and you still have some youth so your not leveraging all your future on 3 guys in their 30s. Only draw back is you need another 2 guard shooter.</div>

I disagree. With Shaq in the lineup they have a big man that draws double teams, and shoots 59%. Having two really talented swingmen is not better than having a talented swingman and a talented center.

8-30 is pretty terrible. To get 41 wins they have to go 33-11 for the rest of the season. The chance of that happening seems slim. That would be winning the remaining 44 games at a rate of .750, only Boston has a win% that good up to this point.

So I do think tanking is happening, either voluntarily or unvoluntarily (due to lost hope, selfish players, etc.)

lol, you're right. oops. Well in response to him, I'd say I'd probably want Carter more over RJ, just because I think he is a more efficient scorer, has better court vision, better passer, and Shaq seems to be at least kind of friends with Carter.

I'm not too high on trading for Shaq.

BUT Shaquille is originally from Newark. He still has family in the city.

Maybe a change of scenery, and an opportunity to come home is all he needs to maybe make one final run. Riley can be a very physically demanding coach to say the least. Not exactly saying he'd return to his prime, or even be as good as he was two or three years ago, but maybe if Shaq got away from Riley it would be good for his career now and down the line.

So we would have a lineup of Kidd, Carter, Wright/Boki, Boone, Shaq with a bench of Darrell, either Wright/Boki, SWat, Jamaal, Krstic, and Malik Allen.

Heat drop 13th CONSECUTIVE game...panic button looking mighty tempting for Riley
