Marcus Williams = GOAT Kidding! Hell of a good game by Marcus Williams. Tommorrow it's against the team he went off for 27 against. Should be amazing.
Take John Lucas and lock him in a gym with Sean, Antoine, Boki, and Magloire. It's only been one game, but its safe to say Marcus has exceeded my expectations.
this thread was started as a response to MWill's performance and obviously author wasn't serious about doing what thread title suggests. But, being serious, I really hope Nets trade Kidd by the deadline. Kidd's production has taken a hit this season and I don't expect it to go up in the future. This is probably the last chance for us to get something valuable in return. Besides, we all disgusted with this team play even with Kidd, so, what's the difference if we're gonna be blown out by Suns or lose to Clippers when Marcus is our starting PG? We've been fed by this BS like "Nets need time to gel", "Let's wait for Marcus", "Let's wait for Nenad" for quite some time but to me it is clear as a day that neither Marcus, nor Nenad, Shaq and JON will make contender from this team. There is something utterly wrong with the Nets in their present state.
Well it depends on what teams are offering, obviously it would be good if the Nets either were focused on winning now, or rebuilding. I agree that Kidd's value probably is about as high as it'll get, and if he gets a nagging injury, he'll be more difficult to move. But if the team is rebuilding they should also move Carter, and maybe RJ too.

But yes Kidd could be moved for his premium worth right now. Id even take a average player package as long as there were draft picks. As in Plural. Would it be worth trying to get in on the Cavs/Kings talks to try and get Mike Bibby? I mean he would be a stopgap that would at least keep this team watchable.... Obviously sending Kidd to cleveland would kill any chance of getting LeBron but as if that was going to happen anyway...
I mean call me crazy but I would do this.... We Trade Vince and Kidd Cavs Trade Brown, Hughes and Gooden Kings Trade Bibby and Garcia we recieve Hughes, Gooden, Garcia and Bibby. Cavs get Kidd Kings get Carter and Brown. Importantly we also revieve Kings and Cavs picks for this year. We lowball Curly and wright since there will be absolutely NO interest in them. Cavs do this deal because they get Kidd. 'Nuff said Kings do this deal because a perimeter trio of Carter, Martin and Salmons is worth at least 55ppg We do this deal to start over. Garcia, Gooden and Bibby are Nice pieces. Yes Hughes has a very crappy contract but for two draft picks, one cant complain. Thoughts?

The draft picks are always welcomed, given the success we've had with Boone and both Williamses. Another thought on the VC to Sac....Sac's having their worst attendance year, ever in Sacramento.....Maloof is about winning, but they're also businessmen. He sees with Bibby, they are not drawing, toss in VC.......just got to get these GM's on the same page. Hughes is the biggest obstacle for us....but with Kidd and VC gone, there should be more shots available for him....to at least drive up his value and a possible summer trade.

Trade Kidd, Vince, and RJ. Bring in some players that actually act like they wanna play defense. Please.

So, I'm asking again, what's the difference if Marcus is our PG and we trade Kidd for a young players/picks?? either trade Kidd or trade the coach. this is even worse than pathetic what Nets are playing right now

We dont blow it up but we just move laterally. Bibby/Mwill/DA Garcia/Hughes/Wright Jefferson/Boki Gooden/Swat/Allen Booooone/Collins/Krstic Now that squad with a coach... I dunno... John Lucas perhaps? Would contend. We are a helluva lot deeper and with Garcia and Bibby finally have some outside shooting. We'd have to go back to a more tradtional princeton offense but exploiting Goodens passing skills and utilizing Swat off the bench in the Varajao role would cover any of the lapses that Gooden occasionally have. But of course that would never happen now would it... sigh. Anyone else have an opinion on this trade? Plus the more I think about it the Sacto Pick might not be nescessary, since they end up mighty thin at the pg role, but with Salmons and Carter on the floor whist Udrih is off, may cover its short comings. I think Vince would be far more effective in Theus' offense, especially after how many open looks they were generating tonght.

Would we have to take them on?
Are you guys insane? Hughes is terrible. His contract is awful and he sucks. Watch some Cavs games and you will understand why all the Cavs fans call him "Laura Hughes". Don't trade Kidd. It's bad enough watching Marcus play for 10 minutes a game. Can he be a good backup? Sure. But I don't see that kid leading his own NBA team. That's a scary thought.

He should be a lot worse than he his now considering he's missed training camp and has been injured most of this season.
