We are 2 - 6 against teams off back to backs.

Why is that? We coast through the whole game and cannot finish at the end.

Take today as an example as Kidd wanted to stay on the bench and let Marcus play rather than running Kidd to the max and having Williams close out the game within a blow-out.

It's easier said than done but rather than having the entire gameplan, we should try to run the team out of the beginning rather than saving our legs because we end up being outran at the end anyways.

I dunno, Marcus was great today and I had no problem letting him stay in there. I mean, thats why we drafted him, right?

I think the problem results from a general problem of failing to close out games and keeping the intensity up for the entire game.

Oh I agree with that too. We have many, many problems with this team.

It's just that we never ever have a blow out which is sad. Even the Knicks have a couple blow outs!

Actually, the Nets were able to pull out several of their victories down the stretch of games.

This team is just so inconsistent. Almost everything has been a problem at some point. Turnovers? Check! Poor defense? Check! Can't make free throws? Check! The offense has been consistently poor though. Today it was the big 3 who can't guard their man one on one. Carter and Jefferson couldn't guard Mobley, Maggette and Al freak'n Thorton. Kidd struggles with Cassell.

When the other team is playing poorly the Nets just can't pull away and put the other team away. The other team just hangs around and then eventually find their groove and make a game of it. The Nets have rarely been able to get a comfortable win this season but they have been blown out several times. They just don't put their foot down on the neck of the other team and stomp on them. Then thrown in some bad luck in tonights game with Thornton hitting the long 3 to beat the buzzer, Boone slipping late in the 4th, and Cassell folowing it with a shot that bounces 10 feet high off the rim on falls through the hoop. Just a lot of stuff that adds up to the Nets being sucky.

People just play their best against us. Tonight for example:

Maggette - Season high in scoring
Kaman - Career high in blocks
Thornton - 2nd highest scoring game

    We cannot allow that.
