<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Well to be fair you said Carter hasn't done anything successful which is clearly an exaggeration, as the Nets struggled more than usual when Carter was out, and having Antoine Wright take Carter's minutes the squad would definitely be quite a bit worse.</div> The reason for that is, when he's out, the opponent is quick to double Kidd or Jefferson. Even when Carter is struggling, he keeps the defense honest. So I guess that is a positive aspect of his game, but in reality, he needs to do more. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I think NOMAM is just frustrated that you will judge Carter night and day, RJ you'll judge once in a while, and you must've signed a death pact with J-Kidd not to say anything about his bad games lol.</div> It's understandable. However, I have not been attacking Carter all season. Maybe the past few days or so. In the beginning of the season, I was one of those fans supporting him, mentioning that he would shrug off those string of bad games. As for Jefferson and Kidd. I haven't been talking about their bad games, but that doesn't mean they haven't been pissing me off, either. Yes Kidd is killing the Nets with turnovers, but with all the good he brings to the team, that outweighs the bad. Jefferson for the most part has had a good season, which not many expected. Me being one. I just feel that with Carter signing a new contract with the Nets he has to prove his worth. IMO, he has yet to do that.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Kidd @ Jan 21 2008, 03:00 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>The reason that most people are so hard on Carter is because he tends to make his bad play a habit. And I'm not only talking about this season. I have seen plenty of stretches where Carter decided to be passive on offense. We needed to put points on the board, and he is no where to be found. That's my problem with him.</div> Carter has taken more of a blend into the offense, let the game come to him, and defer more to team mates approach this season (which is something I believe his critics wanted to see). That approach could have been fine except the problem has been that outside of him and Jefferson no else has really been able put the ball in the basket this season and the Nets offense sucks because of it. And they don't play good enough team defense to make up for it. So to make up for it, it's either going to take them picking up their team defense, bench guys stepping up, or Carter elevating his game more (or a combo of those things) to get things turned around. Perhaps Carter looking to establish his game more will help spark the rest of it. So it's up to Carter and his team mates to look to him and get him going more and see if he can carry them on a run like he has done in the past.

He as well as the whole team needs to realize that.

Unless you were at the game yourself, I doubt you saw me. I scrambled to grab upper bowl seats at the last minute Still had to get a picture in with the Suns girls, though. I mean, I bought a ticket didn't I?
On a side note, does anyone notice that our win streak started when Wright sprained his ankle and now that he's back, well, you know how things have been like..

I saw some guy in a <u>red</u> Sean Williams jersey. Woah, the girl standing next to you is hot. C'mon, did you hit it?
Like Marv said in our game before this game, our defense has to worry about their man. Yes, Amare is going to crush us but I'd rather trade two's than give up as many threes as we do. It kills our confidence and makes the score higher than the talent level of some of those players.
