Pretty poor coaching by Boylan. I don't care if Hinrich and BG have two fouls, you need one of them on the court. Still 2:12 left in the half.
Yeesh. How did Thabo blow that fast break opportunity. Hinrich gets his third. Time for Gordon to go in.
I don't know about you guys but personally I can't wait to hear what Charles and Kenny have to say about the Bulls!!
Gordon made that play for Thabo. He's at PG. He passed right. Got the ball back, passed left. As Thabo drove to the FT line, Gordon moved toward the right sideline and took a defender with him, leaving Thabo an open lane. Memphis was running 1-2-2 zone defense, it was the "1" who went with Gordon.

At least at PG he has a chance to not be awful. At SG he has zero chance.

Got it back at the top of the key. Went left and passed to Thabo on the wing. As Thabo drove to the top of the key, Gordon went to the right sideline taking the defender with him, and that made a lane for Thabo to drive and draw the foul. The guy on D two over from Thabo didn't rotate fast enough (the guy one over went with Gordon). That teams have to key on Gordon gives him that kind of advantage at the PG position. He also made a nice drive for a layup earlier in the game from the PG spot. The Bulls like to run a high pick with a big, and Gordon is best suited to take advantage of any space created, IMO.
Adjustments: Less Wallace, Tyrus, Thabo. More Gordon, Hinrich, Nocioni, and Noah. Last 5 games by the Bulls: Loss by 21 Loss by 14 Win by 30 Loss by 8 Win by 16 Pretty big standard deviation, I think.

I'd like Gordon to play PG, but it might be better for the team if the guy who can't shoot passes it to the guy who can, rather than vice versa. That might be too simplistic, I guess.

When Gordon gets the ball on the left like that and drives to the middle, the defenders won't follow Thabo, so Gordon ends up in a double team. If there's a big setting a pick, it turns into a triple team. What you're saying is right, if the defense would follow Thabo, but they don't see him as a threat. Heck, they don't see Hinrich as a threat enough to follow him, either.
I don't want to sound like a Gordon jockrider, because that's not the case at all. It just seems like common sense to me that because of his height and skills he should be the PG, and his ceiling is incredibly high. The Bulls need a star player, and he's got the chance to be that star. He's not as a shooting specialist off the bench. Nice to see Deng in the game. I hope he isn't going to be suffering for it.
Watch Warrick. If the Bulls can somehow swing a trade for Gasol, I'd love to see Warrick come to the Bulls in the deal. We'll probably need another big, especially if Walace is in the deal (or Noah or Thomas or some combo).
