Thorn is making a lot of calls, but I don't think rebuilding is the topic of the conversation. Nets are looking for something to happen. They don't seem to care at this point, even J-Kidd. I'm sure he's waiting to be traded if Thorn doesn't make the right moves before the deadline. It's really sad. After the 2003 Finals, everything has just been going downhill.

We had a bad year in 2004-2005 (still made the playoffs and had a winning record), but then we rebounded to win the Atlantic again by a hefty margin in 2006, and got to the 2nd round after tearing through the league at the end of the regular season with our 14 game winning streak. That year was fun. Last year was fun, too, as we kicked Toronto's butts in Round 1, even as the naysayers said they would beat us because they won the Atlantic. Then we took the eventual Eastern Conference Champs to a competitive 6 games before running out of gas. Don't be such a downer. A lot of teams wish they could have any of these moments.
