<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Jackson acknowledged that his insertion of seldom-used guard Coby Karl with three minutes remaining Monday was sentimental.

"Guys all wanted him to do well, perform," he said. "There was a lot of focus on that. We're glad he was able to have an opportunity to shoot the ball. For Coby Karl to have an opportunity to play is always fun."

Karl became the third player in NBA history to play against his father, Denver coach George Karl. He made a technical free throw in front of Denver's bench. Coby Karl downplayed it afterward, but the elder Karl was emotional. Father and son are cancer survivors.

"I don't have any words for it," George Karl told reporters. "He's a tremendous story for the game of basketball."

Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy has coached against his son, Mike Jr., and New Orleans Jazz coach Butch van Breda Kolff coached against son Jan in 1976.</div>
