Sean Williams Rising at the Right Time
January 23, 2008, 2:16 pm Writers who follow rookies for NBA.com, Sports Illustrated and ESPN think it’s time to start talking about the NBA Rookie Challenge. Everyone thinks Sean Williams is well qualified at center. Drew Packham of SI is the only one to drop Williams in this week’s rankings, from #6 to #7, while David McMenamin of the NBA and David Thorpe of ESPN put him at #4 and #5. Thorpe gives him high praise for his quickness. John Hollinger (!!) has Williams ranked #1, based on player efficiency.

Wow, pretty impressive. Even tho PER is pretty weak, Sean is at #1 - and that's a fact, not the opinion of Hollinger.

If Sean doesn't start in Rook/Soph game, It'd be a travesty!

How can he be the center when the next Tim Duncan is a rookie?

Because he's not the next Tim Duncan, he's already better than Duncan.

Yeah, and he fixed up his teef a bit.

Hell, he went and spent his rookie money on plastic surgery!
