    Krstic Back Practicing…at Least Today
January 23, 2008, 7:14 pm Nenad Krstic went through his first full contact practice Wednesday in a health club gym in San Francisco. The practice was described by Lawrence Frank as “a full session, with the small court. A contact practice.” The coach was happy with the result: “It was good to see him back on the court. He made some shots. You can’t ask for anything better than that.” The next step is seeing how his surgically repaired knee reacts tomorrow. Krstic will not play on the rest of the road trip.

    This is honestly taking forever.

At this rate I'd settle for 10 points and 8 rebound off the bench; get Collins out of that lineup

he couldnt even get 10/8 when he was starting a couple of months ago. dont expect him to make much of a difference, he's had months off and his confidence is shot.

I think if anything he'll be more of a 12 and 5 guy...not a banger but basically a more consistent Malik Allen with slightly better rebounding and defense.

He has a jumper...even if he only gets 18 mins a night he won't score less than 8 a game...people need to chill on his rebounding numbers though...to think he'll average 7 or 8 is crazy given he only average 6.8 in his best season 100% healthy...expect 4 or 5 rebounds a game. Nothing more. Best case 12 and 5 worst case 8 and 4.

If we can get 20 productive-consistent minutes from him once he gets on the court, that will be a big bonus. He'll become our 6th man when the playoffs roll around.

Well I mean I wouldn't put too much stock in anything Krstic did earlier this season. One would think he wasn't at full strength at the time [IMG] [IMG]

even a 70% krstic would be an improvement on malik allen and would look great beside boone or SWat...vc looks like a DPOY candidate standing next to malik...

When he was starting a couple of months ago, he wasn't healthy. Granted it will probably take some time for him to get back to game speed, it's silly to compare Krstic of November to Kristic of late January/early February. Completely different players injury-wise.

It looks like Saturday is the day.

Nenad will unveil his new bionic body and score 85 points against the Hawks.

uuhhhhh... he hasnt played in months, he's going to be just as rusty as before. why would we expect anything different? he's just had a long layoff, his confidence is still shot and he's going to take longer to get adjusted to game speed.

what i expect is for him to come off the bench, hit a jumper or two, grab a rebound, get winded and sit

So would I if he weren't getting months of one-on-one conditioning.
