    Thorpe: Boone a Big Surprise
January 24, 2008, 5:17 pm ESPN’s David Thorpe usually grades NBA rookies, but on Thursday, he took a look at the league’s sophomore class. He admits that he didn’t like the Nets’ pick of Boone–few draftniks had him going as high as #23. Now, Thorpe says the Nets’ center is “developing into a double-double guy on a team desperate for inside help”. Boone doesn’t make Thorpe’s Top 10, mainly because of his atrocious foul-shooting.

im not surprised. he was doing the same exact things toward the end of last year, just finishing off kidds passing, rebounding and defending. i will be surprisd to see him find ways to score without Kidd, like a postmove or a confident jumpshot

The article is a free preview, so don't be scared off by it's insider status. ESPN should go the route of the new york times and the wall st journal and rely on increased traffic and ad revenues. Insider is farking annoying.
