Vecsey: Blame Frank for Nets’ Woes
January 25, 2008, 7:38 am Peter Vecsey writes that if you’re looking for a culprit in the Nets’ disappointing season, look no further than the man at the head of the bench. Vecsey asks: “Would someone explain to me why Rod Thorn permits coach Lawrence Frank to slow dance - micromanaging the majority of offensive sequences?” and suggest Bruce Ratner ”also might want to ask Thorn why he repeatedly pardons Frank” about the Nets’ woeful defense. Vecsey also disses Al Iannazzone’s reporting on the Nocioni trade.

I hope fire Frank supporters aren't silly enough to reference this jerkoff in supporting their arguments.

Nets went on a losing streak right before they fired Byron Scott, so I wouldn't be surprised at all. Coach Frank might be preaching a winning message, but guys like Kidd, VC, Jefferson etc are all tired of hearing it. He's definitely in the hot seat.

Just from looking at the players' efforts during the Suns and Kings game I almost feel like they're purposely playing poorly to get some change going on (either change to the staff, roster, or even both). The kind of game the Nets should be (and certainly capable of) playing night in and night out should be just like how they played during the game at Golden State.

anyways, if its not clear enough, frankie is Kidds puppet. kidd tramples all over frank. kidd is the coach of this team, frank is just there because nobody listens to him. i mean honestly, can you picture Kidd listening to frank?

Problem is he is 37 years old and not even the oldest person on the current roster.

Firing byron scott was the worst thing this franchise could have done.

Kidd made this mess. Now he doesnt wanna be here.

somebody is laughing right now. Scott has Chris Paul who will be the best PG in the league one day. Chandler who is rebounding like crazy. His team right now has the best record in the league.

Anyone think Scott misses New Jersey??

I'd like to disagree. Letting Eddie Jordan go was the worst thing this franchise could have done.

Right before he goes to sleep, he laughs at our misery. He laughed the loudest today.
