when we first acquired vinsanity from canada in exchange for maple syrup and a map of Idaho, did you ever imagine you would have vince one day later on, ever after his first half season here where he was the second half MVP taking a crappy team to the playoffs? i know personally that i could have never imagined i would hate vince one day and want him gone. you?
that was damn good maple syrup i must add but i didn't because i saw him with a great PG and a guy who can help make him shots, if he stayed aggressive he would have been so great but he lost his drive (again) and its something that i thought he'd have in new jersey
Lol Jizzy for you, I could imagine it. You change your mind on players as much as the weather changes from day to day.
Being from an hour away from Toronto, I never liked Vince. I respected his game though and was happy when he single handly got us to the playoffs but now he is bumming it out.
Until proven otherwise, I will continue to believe that Carter is hurt and that the reason he sucks is not due to a rapid-fire deterioration of his skills and/or body. If that is the case, then this is absolutely the worst time to try to trade him, since his value could not be lower. Hence, I do not expect him to be traded (unless, of course, it turns out that I am wrong about the injury).

Carter will have more trade value either this offseason or next year at the trade deadline...his ankle injury has obviously hurt his play decreasing his value and there is also no great situation for a trade...the only teams that would like him don't have the parts to get a deal done anyway.

All of the writers are quick to say how bad Vince is doing, but not one of them mentions the fact that the Nets organization has said that he is still having ankle problems, and before that there was something with a finger on his shooting hand. He should have taken more time to heal, but with us losing 5 in a row without him it didn't seem like much of a choice at the time, who new what the future would hold for us. With all the back to backs we have played and all the ones coming up (has anyone looked at the schedule and noticed just how many back to backs we have for the season, it's like the league set us up to fail even before we started) it's hard to get the time he needs to completely heal. He is taking less shots than he did last year (and that's how it should be now that RJ is back and can help lighten the load). It's a good thing that he is not going to the All Star Game, even though I tried like hell to get him there. He needs to rest.
