Bedard Traded To Mariners

    But its not official yet right? I did hear stuff yesterday about Jones and Sherrill getting physicals.


    Assuming its finalized, this is just an okay trade for Seattle IMO. I have a huge man crush on Adam Jones, and shits going to hit the fan once he's ready. I think the only guys you should trade him for are the Santanas, Webbs, Becketts, Peavys, all them. Bedard's the next step or two down from there.

    Amen brother, I've had a mancrush on Jones for a long time, and I think this is a pretty stupid trade for the Mariners. Bedard is pretty much a one season wonder, which seems to be the Mariners' cup of tea (i.e. Adrian Beltre). Adam Jones is going to be a star in the league and George Sherrill was a very serviceable reliever. Chris Tillman has a future as well. But hey, the Mariners did need pitching help so hopefully it works out.

    Its a done deal now.


    The Mariners send Adam Jones, Chris Tillman, George Sherrill, Tony Butler, and Kam Mickolio to Baltimore for Erik Bedard.

    M's gave up Tillman and Butler? Those two guys both were drafted out of HS 2 years ago and were both legit prospects. I sure hope Bedard is better than advertised.....
