First I'd trade Kidd to La...lots of moving parts here... Kidd Trade LA would also have to include a first round pick... Then I'd see if Portland would be interested in adding RJ to there tandem of Aldridge and Roy... RJ Trade Portland would also have to include a first round pick I don't know...I guess I'm pulling at straws here but I think both these deals are not only feasible but would help all teams involved LA would get better, Portland would get better and we would gain a better future... Just a few ideas...obviously this is a rebuilding plan.

Kevin Pritchard has already said he will not be making any trades this year (at least until the offseason Why mess with chemistry like that? Sergio and Outlaw are Aldridges best friends on the team too FWIW

Don't get me wrong...Martell Webster is a nice player as is Outlaw...and I like Sergio but the facts are that this trade would help Portland in a variety of ways... 1) They get a young superstar with more playoff experience than there entire roster combined. 2) Raef Lafrentz and his ridiculous contract is off there books 3) They gain two players with expiring contracts who actually can contribute 4) They gain room for Europeans and Oden to be added to roster next season Yeah it would mess with chemistry...but the reality is that moves are gonna be needed this offseason anyway and the addition of RJ might actually benefit them come playoff time. Really I think there roster would be improved dramatically. PG: Blake, Jack SG: Roy, Wright SF: RJ, Boki PF: Aldridge, Channing Frye C: Pryzabilla, McRoberts hell if they really need more I'd throw in Nenad as I think we might not resign him anyway. modified RJ trade... IDK I just like the idea of rebuilding...Portland is a playoff team but they've recently cooled off...this might jumpstart them.
1st trade is pretty bad. Only Mihm comes off this year. None of them are close to the caliber of Kidd. Take on 2 more years of Vlad. -Petey

In hindsight yeah the first trade is pretty lopsided...however I I still like the idea of getting ride of Kidd and I think both Dallas and Cleveland are absolutely horrible trade partners. I modified the trade somewhat to increase the value for us. Modified Kidd trade... It's definately a better deal for us and I would definately first offer with the modified proposal before countering with the proposal I originally posted. Still think Kwame and Mihm's expiring deals, two young players, a rotation player and a draft pick is fair for Kidd.

He's a Paul Allen favorite. The only trades Portland would be looking to make would be to clear up Miles or Joels contract for the 09 summer, which is why you have seen rumors of Joel for Sam Cassell (expiring this year) And whos time would Nachbar or Wright take? Jarret Jack at backup SG? No. James Jones time at SF? No. The only European ready to come over next year is Rudy Fernandez anyways. Freeland and Koponen won't be coming over just yet.
jkidd/twin for ai/camby i would do this because then my nba live nets team would obliterate anyone... 3 25-pt scorers 2 scorers who can pass (ai/vc) 25+ ft per game between rj and ai and the occasional vc free throws ...all shoot above 80% of his fts 30+ rpg between camby/boone/SWat 7+ bpg between camby/boone/SWat

IMO, the best trade that I can see no flaws in for either team is with Denver. Kidd, Jefferson, Allen for Melo, Nene, Smith, Najera, Hunter. Denver has a starting lineup of Kidd/Iverson/Jefferson/Martin/Camby, which is the team that brought the Nets to the finals, but with Iverson and Camby instead of Collins and Kittles. The Nets get rid of Kidd, whos unhappy and has a big contract, and get a great young superstar in Melo. They can build around the future around Melo, Boone, the Williams, and whoever they get in the draft. Melo would also be a great guy for marketing to go into Brooklyn with.
Nuggets would never ever trade Melo. I can see a Kidd for AI type deal which would be fun to watch but other than that, Nuggets have no peices.
Kidd,SG,Melo,Kenyon,Camby Damn, thats like the Finals-Nets on HGH. You can be damn sure that I'd start watching Nuggets games.
