<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>A little over a month ago, my Coach informed me that the Denver Nuggets wanted to bring me, Carlos Powell, and Dontell Jefferson in for a workout when we came to Colorado to play the 14ers. The thing about workouts is that you have an hour to show a team something that they may not have been able to see while watching you play a game. They give you some gear, put you through some drills, and maybe drop some per diem in your pocket boom boom.</div> Too Much Rod Benson on Yahoo
congrats to him! well deserved, he's been playing greatly in the d-league. benson + k-mart + melo + AI boom
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! My arch nemesis is a Nuggets fan and if he finds out.....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (cpawfan @ Jan 28 2008, 06:52 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Seriously, this isn't a big deal.</div> I disagree. It may not be a big deal in the sense that it's JUST a work out and nothing may come from it. But, looking at Benson's perspective, this is a huge deal. This is a man who's dream, like countless others, is to make it to the NBA. He has agents all over the place trying to get to him, offers overseas, but he decided to stay the course in the D-League. This is a step forward into his dream, possibly bigger than the summer camp with the Nets. Even if nothing comes out of it, and he eventually doesn't make it in the NBA, this is something he'll always remember, even if it was a brief one hour thing. I do hope something comes out of it though!
Rod Benson won't win us a ring, nor will he be the second coming of anybody...but I'll be damned if we're going to rebuild with young talent and he's not on this Nets team.
