    kidd confirms

    Kidd confirms his trade demand.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"It used to be if I got a triple-double, that was an automatic win," he said. "That's just not the case now. We tried to make this work. We've found out it doesn't. It's time for us all to move on."</div>

    He says "all move on".

Hopefully that means him, Collins, Carter and Malik.

And this statement was made after the loss to Minny. Didn't think he would go public with it, though. This really puts pressure on the Nets management.

It's sad that things have to end this way.

Too bad they didn't make the trade last year. They probably could have gotten Farmar and Odom. Instead, Thorne insisted on Bynum, and now they are going to get nothing but stiffs and scraps for one of the best pure point guards of all time. Nice work, Rod.

Farmar, a pick, expiring contracts. Do it early enough, Thorn may still be able to pawn off an expiring contract for a young piece. Thorn's got to be proactive in this and not wait around or hope for a diamond......he has to mine for a diamond now.

Dunno. Lakers lose a few more games, and Kobe could push the Lakers to do a trade for Kidd.

ah it's official!!! the beginning of the end of the kidd era!! THRON YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO!!

So I guess Kidd is a huge liar, huh? This trade demand goes on the long list of previously denied actions with the extension, and probably his migraine.

Lets cut Malik, sign Rod Benson

this is really sad, kidd is my favorite bball player, and for a while now i would always think 2 myslef why do i like this guy so much and not some high flying dunker, or some guy with a crazy crossover?? But i realized that it just because this guy is a pure professional, a leader by his actions, always shows up for a game, you never have to question his heart or desire, and when one of these things become false then you know theres a problem. I hope the nets grant his wish and trade him to a team that is competing this june.

This should also have huge rammifications for this board. If Kidd goes, you should bet your bottom dollar that Carter is following him out the door relatively soon. Non-Nets Vince Fans, I hope you stick around to talk basketball, but if not, it was nice knowing you.

well, as fans we know he was bullshitting when he said he didn't know of any trade rumors. at this point, it's obvious.

it's sad, and it's a mess, but I guess it's just the sport. the nets have been fucked since the merge [IMG]

Wonder what Thorn is going to be able to get for him now. His value was higher last year and now teams know he's definitely not happy with his situation here. Last year when he demanded a trade (as every year) the Nets had a better record I believe. This year everything has gone bad. Oh well, hopefully Thorn blows up the team.

While that would seem most logical, what team would even consider trading for carter and his massive contract at this point? I think realistically the Nets are stuck with Carter.

I'd still be confident. I can't imagine they were in much of a position to have leverage when Kenyon's contract expired, but they were able to squeeze a good deal out of him.

Beautful... nice way to give up on management, your coaches and your teammates.

Do you tell him to stay home at this stage? His presence around the team has to have a negative effect, but keeping him away has a negative effect on his value (but can it get any lower?)

So we should just bench Kidd and start Marcus shouldn't we?

Everyone knows what you're going to get with Kidd, don't add injury to insult.

It would be interesting to see if VC starts playing out of his mind once kidd is traded. I have a weird feeling that might happen.

Kidd has done a lot of things for this franchise, where were the Nets before he got here? Now with that out of the way, fuck him.

The guy's poor attitude poisoned this team and its a big reason why the Nets suck. Get whatever you can and move on.
