<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>There was a rain delay at Staples Center on Sunday afternoon. Well, sort of. Actually, the rain technically did not fall from the sky, through the arena's roof and onto the court while the Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers played. But rainwater did end up on the floor and did delay the game for 12 minutes in the first quarter. There had been leaks in the 260,000-square foot roof during the week and roofers were inspecting them before the game, according to arena spokesman Michael Roth. When the roofers completed their examination, they re-entered the arena through a door in the rafters, took off their wet gear and left it on a catwalk high above the court. The water leaked through the catwalk's grating and onto the court near the north basket, making it appear as if the rain was dripping through the roof. Soon enough, the wet clothing was removed from the catwalk, the water was mopped up and the game continued. Lakers coach Phil Jackson wasn't buying the explanation, but he did say the lengthy delay impacted his team for the rest of the first half. "That really changed the momentum of the game, made for a very stodgy first half and nothing really happened out there," Jackson said. Cleveland's LeBron James said the delay gave him a chance to rest, providing him with more energy to play the entire second half. James scored 20 of his team-leading 41 points in the second half while playing all 24 minutes. "It helped in the second half," James said. "I was able to get a long rest and didn't come out in the second half because of that." Vladimir Radmanovic said he felt like an SUV rather than a sports car driving on a mountain road, but added that he was "as ready as I can be right now" after sitting out for 11 games because of a sprained right ankle. Radmanovic, a backup forward, returned to the active roster against Cleveland, but did not score in five minutes after entering the game midway through the second quarter. He missed his only two shots, including a 3-pointer. Jackson said the Lakers missed his outside shooting during his absence. "We have two forwards who haven't made a shot," Jackson said, exaggerating the struggles recently of Lamar Odom and Luke Walton. "Neither one of them has shot the ball very well. At least (Radmanovic) carries the threat of making the shot." Radmanovic returns Also ... The Lakers expect Chris Mihm to join them during their nine-game trip, which begins Thursday in Detroit. Mihm, who has been sidelined since Christmas Day because of a heel injury, must get approval from his doctor before he can practice. Mihm could be with the team for workouts early next week, Jackson said. ... Jackson said he plans to speak soon with Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak about whether to sign center DJ Mbenga to a second 10-day contract. Mbenga signed his first 10-day contract Jan. 21 as the Lakers sought to bolster their ranks after Andrew Bynum (left knee) and Trevor Ariza (right foot) were injured.</div> Source: LA Daily News
Yes Chris Mihm should be back soon! Well Luke and Odom are both garbage as of lately they need to play better.I would not be one of those guys who caused the leak.lol
As much as I love Phil's comments, he needs to stop them. I think it's obviously affecting Lamar. He blew up at Phil against Dallas and yesterday against Phoenix, according to multiple fans who went to the game, he threw the ball downcourt at the referee and then stared him down and didn't move out of his way at the end of the game. Lamar needs out of La-La land, now.
Phil needs to egg it some more. Whats lamar going to do? Cry more and play worse? I'm tired of it. Phil is just stating the truth. Sarcastic yes, but still the truth. If we have to spoon feed Lamar to play good basketball and give him hugs and kisses to make the boo boo go away, then he's just being a little b*tch. bottomline. He can't hang? By all means, the door is open. Swap him for cheap. If we can find a 10/10 guy for him, I'd be happy.
It's highly unfortunate that Lamar can't handle pressure. He's got so much talent but can't do anything with it. I really have no issues on Phil calling out Lamar. Odom should take it upon himself and use the criticism as motivation, instead of using it as a reason to fall apart.
Maybe we do need to trade Lamar, I just don't want Z-Bo on our team. Maybe we can't get equal value but I just don't want any egregious contracts on this team.
Hmmm Mihm and Vlad back??? Cool i say we start Fisher, Kobe, Vlad, Mihm, Kwame... LOL to give odom and luke a lesson! Why Mihm and kwame at the same time? well coz 1 can only play defense and 1 can only play offence LOL plus, it'll help kobe's stamina since ive noticed he's going after a lot of rebounds recently
If we start both of them though, the same issue we currently have arises when it shouldn't have to, and that's no back up center. While I love Turiaf, he's a PF, not a center, and having to play center puts him out of position. If Mihm comes back, he will more than likely be the backup C and not in the starting lineup. And Huevon, I honestly think ZBo would be good for this team. With a combination of he and Bynum in the middle, we'd have a heck of a combo there. And at least you know what you're getting out of him since he's typically a consistent 20/10. Beyond that, I think being on a winning team might actually help him, as would playing for a winning coach, two things he's yet to do since he left MSU.

They're totally ineffective together.
