Starting with UFC 81, SportsTwo will be holding a UFC Pick’em league for those of you who follow or are sort of interested in the sport. Like the S2 sportsbook this league is for fun and bragging rights. Here’s how it works; I’ll post the fight card under a UFC ## Predictions thread. Reply in this thread your picks for each fight. If you’re like me and like to write an essay for each fight, please do so in another thread. We just want your winning picks in the thread please. Usually there are 9-10 fights. 5 main fights are scheduled for the PPV (Main event) and 4/5 are on the undercard (non ppv) To receive points, choose the winner, round the fight goes to and method of the win (Decision, Draw, KO, TKO, Submission). For the winner you get 1 point. For choosing the correct round you get 2 points and if you get the method of victory you get 3 points. In order to receive points for the round and method of win, you of course have to pick the correct winner. IE if you pick chuck liddell to win in the 2nd round by KO but it’s Rampage who wins in the 2nd by KO, you don’t get credit for the round or the KO. Don't forget for championship bouts it's 5 rounds. There will be a 3 point bonus if you get just the 4 undercard fights correct. A 5 point bonus if you get just the main event fights correct and a 10 point bonus if you pick the winner of all 9 fights correctly. Along with points, we’ll post your win/loss record and winning percentage so late comers can have something to brag about too. updated as of UFC 82. Speeds keeps the top spot, I have the best w/l record, Big Frame was the big mover. 3 newcomers who scored well and can easily move up the standings after the next card. anyone is welcome to join and try Next Event, UFC Fight Night on Spike TV on April 2. Lots of points to be had, there's 12 rumored fights for that card.
I've modified the rules since everyone did the entire card with the round and method of victory for UFC 82. We'll do this for the entire card, that way there's more points to be earned and a bigger chance of movement in the standings.
man best w/l and I end up in 4th! gonna have to come back big on the Fight Night. with more fights, will have to up the bonus points for getting the main or undercard correct. it helped several ppl this card, I always get at least 1 fight wrong though.
Standings updated after Fight Night 13. Speeds extends his points lead, Trench with the impressive win total from the event takes over the wins collum. Knicksfan3 moves up 2 spots with a strong night and 2nd to 4th is tiiiiiiiight. lets get some more ppl in on this!
Results are updated as of UFC 83. wow, nicely done guys. we have 6 of 8 guys over .500 for the picks, Chocolove had a great debut with 18 points and is almost .500 Just need to get a few points on speeds here as he's pulling away bit by bit every fight.. his luck has to run out sooner or later May 24 is the next UFC fight card and it looks to be a tough one to call as there are great fights throughout the card. Check the UFC 84 thread for the card and updates.
Updated as of UFC 84. wow what a good fight card for everyone! no one is under .500 in their picks and Trench has a blistering .717 pick average Speeds maintains the overall lead, but it's shrunk with myself and Trench within striking distance. UFC 85 could see a lot of movement.
I have the top winning % I'm so lucky. Haha. I do appreciate what you guys have done though, I find myself more and more enamored with MMA every week. I'm glad we've got an active MMA board, here.

Updated as of Elite XC & WEC events. lots of movement this week as we have a new leader of the Pack since the very first pick'em night at UFC 82! Speeds has relenquished the lead by the narrowest of margins and it looks to be a dog fight to stay on top. Big Frame bounced back in a 'BIG' way and is the 4th person to crack 100 pts. Ghoti joined the league with a respectable 6-3 record in a very tough pick'em event. Lets see how he does with the UFC now good job eveyone, Everyone is still over .500 with their picks. get the training in now, UFC 85 is this Saturday!!
