<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Yahoo! Sports'Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that New Jersey Nets ' point guard Jason Kidd is privately telling his friends that he wants to be traded to the Dallas Mavericks . Kidd has a total FIC of 708.9 this season and has posted an FIC per 40 minutes of 17.7 for New Jersey. The Mavericks' point guard Devin Harris, who is currently injured, has an FIC total of 376.3 and FIC per 40 minutes of 12.7 in 2007-08.</div> Link Get the next Jose!
So much for the "privately" part. Out of the teams bidding for Kidd, Dallas has the most chance of making it to the finals, so no surprise here.
It'd be nice for him, but what can you get back....not much a few picks, Jose, and that's about it. You can actually then do another deal to move one of the expiring salaries to another team that needs help and is willing to give up a trade exception and a pick for the ending contract. I think Diop, George are the 2 deals ending. But combined they're less than 6 million. Stackhouse is at about 7 million, Hassell is at about 6 million. These 5 worked on realgm, but George has to approve the deal, Bird Status issues there. Hassell and Stack would run through 2010. So this year, and 2 more after. Hassell's 09-10 is a player option, assuming he's going to pick it up. Again, the salaries for both Stack and Hassell are pretty reasonable, so you can move them for an exception or a couple of prospects.
I don't know why he would want to play in Dallas over LA. LA WILL be a contender w/ Bynum, Kobe, Kidd trio. He WILL play A LOT. Nets get a lot more in return.

Right now, I'd think Mavs are a better shot, given, Nowitzki, and Howard. Plus he'd have a defender in Harris to play alongside him. I don't see much with the Cavs outside of Lebron. If they can somehow manage to keep Gooden.....then maybe.

In Cavs land, it's all King James.
i say we ask for gooden, gibson, uhhhh 2 1st rounders and they take collins“ wait they can't take on that much money, damn these high priced players
I think the Mavs is our best shot to get some value back. This is Mark Cuban were talking about here, Mavs haven't made a big splash in the market in years.

Let's see if we can trade wit the Grizz. And Bulls. And then we could get back Nichols and Warrick along with other random players. The best bet to get anything good in return is probably Dallas, like people are saying. Although, that seems unlikely.
Man, I want Hakim here. Personally I think he'd do great here. A nice core of him and Sean at PF would be sweet.
One thing about Dallas is can't they use Van Horn in a sign and trade scenario to give the Nets a big one year expiring contract? And could a sign and trade with Van Horn be combined with other Dallas players?

Miami is beautiful. Free agents already want to go there. Add a good big man to Kidd and Wade and Pat Riley might smile again. Kidd needs to go to a team that's years away (Seattle) and/or a city that free agents treat like poison (Milwaukee). If he gets traded to a good team I'll vomit.
