I really hope that it isn't Ronny. I mean, I dont mind him starting, just not with Kwame. That's a disaster. Plus we lose more size off the bench if we start both. Vlad would seem like the most logical choice, but he seems like he's still trying to get his legs under him. Still, I think he will be the guy ..

BUT.. who I think SHOULD be the guy is Sasha. This is going to sound radically crazy, but Sasha should be our 2nd option (with Bynum out obviously)... stop laughing, I'm serious ... If you think about it, he's totally got the mentality, in fact he's the only live body on the team right now with that mentality (besides Kobe and Farmar). He's a gunner, even when he misses, he's not afraid to keep firing, which is something we need right now, and tonite showed that. This would allow Lamar to slide back into the 3rd option where he belongs, and where he can go back to focusing on defense and grabbing boards.

I know you said stop laughing, but I can't help it with hearing the words Sasha and 2nd option.

As good as Sasha was tonight, I'm not too hyped up by him right now. He's had games like this in the past, I want to see him do this consistently. I'd hate to see him start, too.

I want to run a lineup of Farmar, Fisher, Kobe, Lamar, Kwame or Fisher, Kobe, Vlad, Lamar, Kwame. I think those two lineups would be more effective than with Sasha in the starting lineup.

    I'm still laughing...

In all seriousness though, I wouldn't mind him starting. I just don't know about him being the second option because it took him four years to finally become a 7:30 shooter. In other words, I'm afraid he'll crack under the pressure and start missing his shots again. I really think Fish and Farmar should be our second options at this point. Farmar seems like the most reliable player behind Kobe ever since Bynum went down and I'm sure Fish will get out of his slump.

Yeah, I'd rather have our second option be Farmar over Sasha. I'm not so sure about Fish, though. He's a proven role player, but he's seems to be only effective when there is a dominant big man in the post.

Fisher, Kobe, Lamar, Vlad, Kwame would be better

This is the lineup I want to see out there with Luke out.

    PG - Fisher
    SG - Kobe
    SF - Odom
    PF - Turiaf
    C - Mbenga

This lineup seems much more balanced than the three Guards starting theory. The Lakers can always score points we just have to be smarter about defending.

I think Vlad would be the logical starter. When he was healthy, he was shooting the ball very well. If he's in the starting lineup, he gives us another outside shooter and a person who can space the ball a little more for Kobe to get to the hoop. Plus, I'm opposed to starting a trio of guards. I don't really think Kobe needs to be at the SF. As good as he is, he'd end up taking more of a beating by the bigger guys playing the SF and it might affect his offensive game. I'm much more apt to the traditional lineup.
