The Nets are discussing a complicated three-team scenario with the Mavericks and Blazers in which Jason Kidd would go to Dallas, league sources said.
In return, the Nets would get back young players (Jarrett Jack and Travis Outlaw), expiring contracts (Devean George, DeSagana Diop), Jerry Stackhouse, draft picks and cash. More players, including other Nets, would be involved.</div>

"I can't imagine Rod Thorn sending Kidd to a team in the East," said an Eastern Conference GM, referring to the Nets president. "They're going to want to get Kidd as far away from Dodge as possible. Dallas is a legitimate option."</div>

Unless Travis asked to be traded, I doubt he would be leaving Portland.

Yea, makes me wonder what Portland is getting out of this.

the rumors have been Devin Harris to Portland.

Unfortunately I don't think I would be down for trading Outlaw for Harris even straight across. I think Jack + Webster + 1st round pick would be more logical.

The only way I can see Outlaw moving is if one of the teams takes Darius Miles contract

I don't see what happens on Portlands end in these deals. Harris for Outlaw, cash, Jack, Frye, No. 1 pick is a total rip-off. Portland has to be getting something other than just Harris worth value

Excellent deal for the Nets if they can pull it off. They get a lot of pieces back and 2 first round picks.

I'm trying to figure out why Portland would give up that much for Devin Harris.

Damn, Portland is going to have a nasty starting five next year if that's true.

I....kind of like this deal. But again, Portland seems to be getting the short end of the deal. Plus, why would Portland want to break up this killer team they have?

I don't understand...Dallas didn't want to give up Devin Harris for Kidd, why would they send him to a Western conference rival?

I really don't see Portland giving up Outlaw unless Miles is involved.

If he is not, I think Webster is much more likely to be in this deal.

Either way Webster, No. 1 pick, Frye, Jack, Cash in my opinion is too much for Harris. What would Portland also be getting?

And Kevin Pritchards track record shows he isn't stupid enough to do such a trade

MY head hurts just trying to figure this one out. Let's just trade our whole team to Portland for their team, and we'll throw in the rights to Kidd's giant-headed son.

Funny how Cuban denies wanting to trade for Kidd, and yet these rumors keep coming up. I really like this deal for the Nets, but I have a feeling it's a long way from being complete.

Holy shit does Portland get ripped off.
    So our lineup would be....
    PG:Jack,M.Williams
    SG:Carter,Stackhouse,Wright
    SF:Jefferson,Nachbar,Outlaw,George
    PF:S.Williams,Frye
    C:Boone,Diop,Collins
    And...either Magloire, Armstrong or Allen?
    My brain hurts.
