You, on the other hand, are just scoffing at them and trying not to spend more time than you have to learning how to use it. It is starting--you're on your way to becoming a grumpy old man. Congratulations!</div> I compare everything to Windows 3.1 I feel old

Crazy to think about how much things have changed. In grammar school, the best computer available was an Apple IIe, and my first PC ran MS-DOS only. And to think, I'm only 24.

I learned how to make a box and change the cursor four different colors. That's as exciting as it sounds, so I tried to play games on it (like GORF) but you can imagine what those were like. I got a Commodore 64 soon after and that was a computer that was actually useful.

The games I used to play on that...</div> My favorites were Hardball (the game Fred Savage is playing at the beginning of Princess Bride), International Superstar Soccer, and all the Infocom games (like Zork and Hitchhiker's Guide). I used to have to beat the shit out of my hard drive to get games to load, though. Now, of course, I just have to click.
I had a Sinclair ZX-81. It has 1k of RAM, but I bought the 16k expansion pack. I had a few games that I could load using a tape recorder, but the volume had to be just right for it to work. I'd post a link, but I don't know how and I don't care to learn.
