How are the Portland TrailBlazers killed here ? </div> I seriously don't see Outlaw being traded unless someone takes on Miles contract. Webster, Jack and 1st round pick makes more sense in my opinion. Boki means nothing to Portland unless someone takes Miles back too (and then only because of his expiring)
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Kidd Karma @ Jan 30 2008, 03:47 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Welcome to the board Any word on what Portland's getting? For them to give up Frye, Outlaw and Jack is a lot to dump to give up, just wondering what's going their way. Dallas has to be moving something over there, Stacks making 6.75, George, 2.5, Diop 2.5, that's only 11 million. They'd have to shift another 6-7 million to Portland to make it work.</div> Portland would be getting devin harris, but I don't know what else is in it for them.
jack is a very good PG, he controls noffense, has improved his 3 pt shot and can defend. he's a halfcourt PG, although that is still learning how to run a fastbreak. travis outlaw may be breaking out. remember, he's really young and he has been playing awesome. we can always trade stack to, you know.

He is a SG in a PG's body. He's a turnover waiting to happen in the open court.

Outlaw is the best part of this trade for the Nets. He can be as good as he wants to be. The lift he gets on his jumper is incredible, and when he goes to the hole, he's there in like a blink with quick long steps. But, my question is, he's a prototype small forward, how can he and RJ play together?
What happens to Sergio Rodriguez if this deal goes through? I know Portland was high on him eventually becoming the starter at one point. Devin Harris makes him expendable. Not to mention Harris is out for 2 to 3 weeks with an injury.

As for RJ and Outlaw working well together...I think it would work for now but we would probably look to move RJ at the end of the season right before or right after the draft.
Welcome to the site, 5WAT-51! If you need anything, lemme know. I gotta be honest...I don't see this happening at all. Portland is good right now. They got a good core, and Jack, Frye, and Outlaw are important parts of their team (especially Outlaw). It just wouldn't make sense to me. Hell, nothing about this trade makes sense to me. Why would Dallas do it? Why would Portland do it? Why would the Nets take on 2 wing players when they already have about 5 of em? Is Carter getting traded, too?
The Hawks trade I proposed has been the best one you guys have gotten imo, and I'm pretty sure BK wouldn't think twice on pulling the trigger on it.

Three young players...outlaw, jack, frye expiring contracts...stack, diop, george two first round draft picks All for Jason Kidd, Darrell Armstrong and Malik Allen? Yes please.
I just saw the trade on ESPN, and it's horrible for Portland. the Blazer's GM Pretchard isn't an idiot and I doubt he'll do it. Why would you trade 3 players who are in your rotation for a young, always injured overrated PG? Not to mention they'll only be making a team in their conference way better.

I'm not saying they are actually gonna do the trade but obviously the rumor has legs and isn't just pure speculation from Dave D...if this trade goes down though than Rod Thorn should be handcuffed cause he's commiting robbery...
When I think of the trade, I think how good a Harris-Roy backcourt would be, but their giving up way to much.
