I'd rather let Kidds contract run out than take Terrys.

The size of our roster for one. The Trailblazers blowing up their team for one oft-injured player and another one who hasn't played in the past 2 years for a second one.

better yet I'll explain why this deal can happen

Portland has a bunch of talented PGs

    1. Rudy Fernandez
    2. Sergio Rodriguez
    3. Steve Blake

losing Jarret Jack will not hurt them

Martell Webster has 2 yrs. of service left before he is a FA, Outlaw is the only one who I'm not sure about but lets face it he's no big loss here either the FA market will have some players for next season and the plan is for Por. to build a championship team, most likely the FA market will have replaceable SFs that can do what Outlaw does. Devin Harris would add a solid role playing PG who is young and coachable. Frye has been coveted by Jersey since the summer of 07', in losing Frye they would need a replacement big add Kirstic who is a FA after this season anyway.

Dallas more importantly their GM wants Kidd to add an experienced PG who can make Howard and Dirk better, giving them Boki because NJ would want this 3 way to happen and Malik because lets face it's JKidd your getting here. Anyway Malik would add a shooter off the bench for Dal.

New Jersey's end of this deal

in rebuilding a franchise and making a franchise move you have to have shakeups and a change of the guard. I know people want Stackhouse to buy him out but putting myself in Dallas's shoe why would you give away an expiring contract like that. Instead moving a moveable player w/ some years in Terry would be ideal and Terry is the type of player Kiki loves, high I.Q. and a good shooting mechanic.

Frye, Webster, Jack, Outlaw & Bass (not a bad haul if you ask me & and some trade chips in here too)

Diop & George can be packaged somewhere for a better part or bought out.

if I pissed anyone off I'm sorry about that, I just want to show why this deal can happen. And it has been said Dallas has been trying to move Terry for awhile now.

Portland would never in a million years make that trade.
Devon Harris is a nice player as is Nenad but there value does not equate to Webster, Outlaw, Frye and Jack

I think this might be more fair:here.

As reported earlier both Portland and Dallas would send 1st rounders to NJ.

that wouldn't be bad but Portland loves Steve Blake I doubt they would deal him and Dallas is not in any rush to trade Eddie. I think somewhere in between this deal will happen it's going to be interesting to see what happens.

If Portland loved Steve Blake they wouldn't be sweating Devon Harris like they are. The reason this trade works is because the Trailblazers don't get fleeced. Martell Webster is a natural SG but is forced to play SF because of Roy...Outlaw has too good of a contract and to much upside to trade but Webster does make sense. Frye is a good player but he's a backup for them so he's expendable and Blake isn't really needed if you get a player like Harris...especially if you still have Jack and Rodriquez.

Dallas can slide Terry to SG and keep Josh Howard while gaining Jkidd...its good for them.

And us...well we get young talent, expiring contracts and two first rounders.

If the Nets are forced to take Channing Frye, at least can they get Rudy Fernandez instead of Jack?

Frye is expendable since they have Joel and McRoberts in developement (don't forget Greg Oden), on Harris it's pretty simple, depth and he's a prototypical PG who can feed off of Roy and not mess up ball movement, most likely Blake becomes trade bait for another deal or he's put off the bench and Harris becomes the starting PG. Dallas has been trying to rid Terry's contract so much they offered him w/ a pick for Corey Maggette

Kiki would love him a 6'10 forward who can shoot and is fundamentally sound.

I was watching the Blazers game earlier and they were talking about this trade and apparently the Blazers GM had heard nothing about this (according to him). Plus, in all honesty, the Blazers would be very dumb to do this trade. They'd be giving up a whole bunch of talent only to get Devin Harris in return. It'd completely mess with the chemistry this team has got going. No way the Blazers do this. Plus, why would they want to be involved in a deal that's going to help the Mavs more than it's going to help them?
