Does Kidd get traded somewhere else this season? Or do we keep him until the summer?

I have a feeling that this 3 way deal, as impossible as I see it happening, is the closest thing to a major deal that would get done. With that said, I can't really see any other teams getting involved or anything else happening if this deal doesn't pan out.

    What would you do?

I don't know...I felt like interest was going to be limited for Kidd but so far it seems as if he is really coveted by several teams which makes his value much larger. If it happens it happens...otherwise I'm content to wait til the draft.

I think the demand for him now is at an all-time high. Theres a lot of teams who tihnk they can contend if they add him. If you wait until the offseason teams won't be as desperate to make a move. The west is so tight that many teams believe Kidd will put thme over the hump this season. In the summer they'll be more calm and feel less pressure from the fans, coaches, players, etc.

Not to mention the Nets start the painful rebuilding process a half season earlier. An off-season Kidd sweepstakes will be a long fiasco as teams will have plenty of time to wait it out in their negotiations. If you trade Kidd now the Nets will have a worse record and get a head start on rebuilding with young players and picks and won't be in purgatory (not good enough to do anything in thep layoffs, too good to get a franchise-changing draft pick), which is the worst place to be.

Wait till Thorn calls them and shuts him down just to make a first round exit and be on the line again.

Trade him to New York just to spite him.

I think there are a lot of teams that either want Kidd or SHOULD want him. I personally think that he's a little overrated, but I guess it is possible that after he's dealt he'll suddenly start playing defense, hitting 38%--or MORE!!!--of his shots, and develop leadership skills. But all that matters is perception, and part of that is the perception to the other team's fan base that he is going to deliver.

Anyway, when you think about it, why wouldn't a team like Atlanta be interested in Kidd? What about Milwaukee? Don't laugh. They've got to have a lot of cash right now from the new Chinese fan base. Portland has already been discussed.

What about Miami? Do you think Riley would be interested in a Kidd-Wade-Shaq trio? Wouldn't it be something if Mourning comes back in that deal and has to retire a Net! hahaha

At the same time, there are other stars around the league that either want to be traded, or whose teams want to trade them. Guys like Artest and Pau. I'm sure there's a trade in there somewhere, possibly a three or four-way deal

The longer Rod waits, the more frantic some team will get. Someone will pay a bunch to get him--you just have to wait it out.
