The whole LeBron plays in the east argument is wrong. You can't take away his accomplishment just because the competition isn't as strong as the West. The fact is LeBron reached the finals with a very flawed team, could Kobe had done that? probably but its moot since thats not the case.

I do think that detracts somewhat from the accomplishment.

LOL </div> Yea, but saying well if one player was taller and had 45 extra pounds of muscle to determine who is better is a lame arguement. One could make an arguement that Jordan wouldn't have been great if he was 6 inches shorter and weighed 50 pounds less like AI did.
I honestly think playing in the East does slight the accomplishment of going to the Finals a little bit. For one, he only played one team that was worth a damn, and that was Detroit. Otherwise, he played a Nets team that wasn't that good to begin with and a Wizards team that was missing two of its best players. Than when they finally made the finals and played against a very, very good San Antonio team, they stood no chance. Plus, one other thing you have to look at, aside from the fact that they got swept, is that LeBron was completely taken out of the series. He didn't just have one bad game, he had four straight bad games, and this was after he dominated Detroit. So, maybe had he done decent in the Finals or had they not gotten swept, I wouldn't slight the accomplishment, but the fact of the matter is that he choked on the biggest stage of them all and his team followed suit.
