    Pretty straightforward.

Do the previous titles take some of the load off, or would losing this game be the NFL's most legendary defeat?

I'd say true. If they don't win it all there will always be that added "but they didn't win the championship" attached to it if they don't. An undefeated season is fantastic, but if they don't win it all, the legacy will be kind of tarnished.

My opinion is that the Patriots haven't accomplished an undefeated season until they win the Super Bowl. If the Dolphins had lost to the Redskins in Super Bowl 7, do you think we would be talking about them today? By the way, I voted no because I think there was greater pressure on the Dolphins, especially Shula. Shula had already lost two Super Bowls including Super Bowl 3, which I'm sure as many people thought the Colts were as big a lock, if not more, than the Patriots this year.

Tune into the NFL Network on Saturday night and see true perfection become realized. It might be your only chance this weekend.

New England already owns a longer winning streak of 20 something games, in a previous season. So going 18-0, and losing in the Superbowl would then be a step down from that previous accomplishment. I think its worth mentioning that a team just went 16-0 in the regular season. When was the last time some team when undefeated from September to December? They need to close the deal on Sunday, otherwise this win streak will be any more significant to their previous accomplishments.
