<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Dave D’Alessandro, calling the Dallas/Portland/New Jersey proposal “non-sensical”, thinks he can do better and proposes a four team deal in which Jason Kidd is sent packing to Chicago and the Nets get Darius Miles and Kirk Hinrich in return. Al Iannazzone says that the 12-man deal isn’t dead until something else happens, and that something could involve pretty much anyone on the Nets’ roster. Meanwhile, Nenad Krstic could possibly return Saturday.</div>

I agree with Dave D., the trade makes absolutely no sense for Portland. Although, Kidd to Chi-town makes even less sense.

What is the deal with Darius Miles these days? Is he even trying to come back?

He wants to but the Blazers don't want him too.

Yes, but with the way Portland is playing, why would they take a chance on such a bust? Everything is working well for them right now, no point in experimenting.

If the Nets could get Hinrich plus a talented front court player in some multi-team trade for Kidd and other pieces that would be a good outcome for the future and the present.

Think you are overrating Kidd's value there.

Why would you think that? The guy has 97 career triple doubles, 10 on the year, is an all-NBA team defender, is always up there on apg, led the Nets to the Finals twice with very little talent around him. Very few guys can do what he can do, he surpassed Wilt and Bird, two all-time greats.

I was thinking the same thing. Assuming its not being completely made up out of thin air, it just seems like Kidd is searching for any little thing to use as an excuse for wanting out.
