I think you're blowing everything out of proportion there Moo. Very good movie but (very) far from top 5 IMO.

Wow Run, I didn't expect you to rank Step Brothers so high.

I won't be seeing it though, maybe on DVD.

Yeah tbh I'm not too sure about that ranking lol. I did think it was really fuggin funny after most recent Will Ferrell movies sucked. But I've seen many a comedy movie in theaters that are pretty funny then you get them on DVD and they aren't as funny. Something about the atmosphere, watching the movie with a bunch of friends and strangers. Also, like I said I was drunk and kind of out of it. I had to be up at 6 AM yesterday to get to my orientation at Santa Cruz, then came back home, watched TDK, went to my friends house and got drunk, then went back and met a bunch more people who wanted to see Step Brothers at 12:01 AM. So by the time the movie was over I'd been awake for 20 hours and had like 4-5 hours of sleep the night before.

Still thought it was really funny and so did all of my friends. Definitely better than Semi-Pro (terrible), Talladega Nights (mediocre), and Blades of Glory (average at best).

The Dark Knight has a 9.5 rating on imdb while the Godfather has a 9.1. It's the movie of the year, and could be considered top 5.

I know that rating is a little inflated since the movie just came out, but I don't think it will go below 9.2

My only complaint was everyone (excluding the villains, including Harvey Dent) got too much screen time. I might actually buy the director's cut if they can manage to cut out 25-30 minutes.

Most recent movie I saw in the theater was Step Brothers and I definitely give it a thumbs down. Basically it was a movie where two adults act like kids and throw together as many cuss words as they can to see if eventually they can make something funny out of it. Didn't work for me.

    Step Brothers=5.5/10

Another movie with Will Farrel acting like a brat that never learns his lesson. oh, and wannabe Reilly is in the movie too.

Honestly, I'm getting tired of this crap. There is nothing new to these Will Farrel retard films yet they keep making money so they do them anyway.

I only like Will Farrel when he isnt the main character, like Old School. He was a fantastic supporting character.

8.5/10- Far and away the best Tim Burton movie I've ever seen. Guess thats not saying much though as I think most of Burton's stuff is highly overrated, not that his movies are bad (they are usually good, no more and no less) but they are generally overrated by his cult fans. Much of it was like a fairy tale (all the flashbacks and stories) but also contained a lot of nice themes. Just a very nice movie overall, uplifting, fantastic, hopeful, etc. I'm not gonna lie I was getting a little welled up at the end. Kind of hit me at an appropriate time though because I'm going through some shifts in the dynamic of my own relationship with my father.

    8/10. Good movie.

    7/10- Decent sci-fi action flick.

7/10- Decent movie. Predictable ending. Kind of corny but still ok.

BTW you guys are trippin' about Step Brothers. That shit was HILARIOUS. I saw it with a group of like 15 people and everyone thought it was good, everyone I've talked to since who has seen it has said it was good too.

I just saw the Mummy 3: Dragon Emperor. It was really good. They set up the story/plot well. It was well directed & decent acting. I enjoyed Maria Bello as Evelyn O'Connell better than Rachel Weisz. John Hannah who plays Evelyn's brother was

There was enough physical comedy and silly one liners for Brendan Fraser. It was better than the 2nd installment & the Scorpion King.

It moved along at a good clip which is important to me. It did copy and mock Indiana Jones. Further, it was left open for a fourth & possibly more. The part with John Hannah @ the end was funny.

Overall, I'd give it a 7.8 out of 10 and so far is the third best movie I've seen this year after The Dark Knight & Iron Man... of course.

I would have to COMPLETELY disagree with this. I thought this movie was hands down the WORST movie I've seen all year. The acting was awful, the story line was weak, the action was weak, it was corny and crap all the way through. I mean, yetties....seriously. This movie was garbage and was the worst movie I've watched in theaters since Ultraviolet. Total waste of my money. And if it's the 3rd best movie you've seen this year, I would assume that you've only seen three. The movie gets a 2/10 for me, simply because it had Jet Li.

However, I did go see The Dark Knight for a 3rd time last night. Still as good as it was the first two times I saw it.

Definitely a movie to watch with your dad just to show him how much he means to you. Very touching.

    Last saw:
Iron Man 8.5/10 -- Downey Jr. was the perfect Tony Stark IMO and the movie was well done. The bad guys were meh (Stane a little too obvious IMO) and Rhodes character was just dull. I think the only person who could hold their own on screen with Downey was Gwyneth Paltrow. For the next Iron Man movie, they need a strong actor to be the villian. Bridges was decent but they need better to compensate for Downey's strong performance

Dark Knight 9.5/10 - Great movie! Christian Bale is very good as Bruce Wayne, still a little off as Batman IMO, but improving. Heath Ledger was every bit as brilliant as Jack Nicholson as the Joker and definitely gave the character a more modern twist. Aaron Eckhart did a superb job as Harvey Dent/Two-Face.
And of course Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine are two of the most consistent actors ever, you always get very good performances from them. The only weak link was Maggie Gyllenhall, who was fine, but didn't really bring anything to the roll that I didn't feel 20 other actresses could have done. No biggie though. Can't wait for the next one.

Step Brothers - 3/10 What a terrible movie. Will Ferrell should be banned. It's incredible how he's so popular. All of his movies are terrible. Every single one of them.
