http://www.suntimes.com/sports/basketball/...-bull01.article <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>It was just a few minutes after Bulls coach Jim Boylan had accused some of his players of going ''into their own little worlds, acting kind of childish at times'' in an 83-67 loss Wednesday to the NBA basement-dwelling Minnesota Timberwolves. In the locker room, a few Bulls were sharing a hearty laugh over a teammate's supposed style when it came to street clothes. While good-natured teasing is a healthy staple of any team, these yuks seemed only to serve as Exhibit A in Boylan's case. Clank! Bulls hit bottom Bulls in Brief: Thabo all but a lock to remain in lineup After all, the Bulls' focus had been as lacking as their offense in a game in which they set season lows for points, field goals (23) and shooting percentage (33.3). Given those numbers, one reporter skipped the postgame softball toss and asked captain Kirk Hinrich, ''What was that all about?'' At least one of the chucklers was heard to mimic the question. Imagine if he had heard what some fans were saying after the supposed effort. Say what you will about Ben Wallace -- and the veteran center has had plenty of criticism sent his way during this disappointing season -- but Wallace wasn't so much as smirking after the loss. Asked whether he knew whom Boylan was calling childish, Wallace said: ''I saw everything going wrong. We didn't execute. We didn't defend. It's tough to win games when you're sloppy with your execution and not taking care of the basketball. Coach says you're acting childish, it's tough to win like that.</div> Wonder who the laughers were? The guy mimicing the reporter's question is actually bothers me a bit more than the fact anyone told a joke, though I'm not sure why? I guess it's because at this point I understand these guys can't take every loss like the end of the world, even if we'd like to. They'd be emotional basket cases if they did. But mocking a guy who's just trying to do his job doesn't sit well at all.
I am sure they think that they won't pull an old fashioned "just barely make it to the playoffs" this year. The loss to Minnesota just after spanking them the night before probably caused some hysteria. However, I think we can still pull something off if we'd just stop with the Bullshit.
