With this crap package getting Gasol, I fail to see how John Paxson didn't bring in Gasol, unless the Memphis GM was spiting him. The Lakers 2008 and 2010 picks wouldn't be worth shit. Brown is just an expiring, and Crittenton is a rookie guard who is unproven, and in a position where the Grizzlies are strong.

John Paxson is a buffoon for not getting Gasol at this fire sale price.

Good riddance to Kwame! And quite frankly, I'm happy to get rid of JCritt and a pair of firsts to get rid of his ass and bring in Gasol. Goddamn, I can't wait for this team to get healthy. A frontcourt of Bynum/Gasol/Odom is going to dominate the glass, and throw Kobe in there and we're going to have the best foursome of players in the NBA possibly. Wow. I guess the Kupchak and co. weren't kidding when they said they'd get this team better, it just happened later than expected.

On a side note, I saw this and the first thing I thought was, "Oh great, another joke". And then to see it's apparently true. Just, holy shit, wow.

MOVE OVER PHOENIX! We're looking to get that top spot back!

Let me be the first to say:
    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

    PG Derek Fisher
    SG Kobe Bryant
    SF Lamar Odom
    PF Pau Gasol
    C Andrew Bynum

    WOW!
Not to mention, now that Pau's on this team, Marc is going to be begging to get a contract buyout on his team in Spain to play with his brother next season!
    The Gasol Twins in LA!

Damn, I don't care if Kwame doesn't suit up tonight. I'm just ecstatic that his ass is being shipped.

On a sidenote, this is definitely a sign that the Grizz are blowing it up and starting from scratch. They've got great cornerstones in Gay and Conley, and I wouldn't doubt to see Java get some PT at the 2 as well. Would anyone else not be surprised if Mike Miller is gone here soon too?

You know, maybe Odom will do better now that he can be the 3rd option? Who knows.

By the way, this deal was just reported on ESPN during Outside The Lines.

Apparently the Grizzlies are for sale. I wonder if Christian Laettner tries to buy them again.

I wouldn't be surprised if they deal Miller next also you have to wonder what they do with Juan Carlos Navarro?

Best of luck to JCritt in Memphis!

Two Gasols are better than one!
