13' is the top of the backboard. Remember, 12'6" is where Dwight jumped too and it was close to the top.

If he wants to raise it to 13' then that means he can jump and touch OVER the backboard. It's a bluff.

There is no way Green can dunk 13 feet. Plus, okay, so he has mad hops if he does. Should he get a 50? No. If Moon put it off the backboard, through the legs, 360 he should get a 50. If Green jumps off 1 foot and dunks 13 feet, he should get like a 48.

I disagree. If someone dunks on 13 feet, you have to give them a 50. I agree that I don't think these guys can do it, but if it happened - you have to give them a 50 because it's original, has never been done before, and for christ's sake that would be amazing. Are you expecting a 360 windmill on 13 feet? A basic dunk on a hoop that high warrants a 50.

My gut tells me Rudy will win, but I will be rooting for Moon. I wouldn't be surprised to see either of the 4 win it - it's close, they are all great dunkers. I definitely think this year's dunk contest will be better than last year.

EDIT: Swish, your avatar sucks. [IMG]

This dunk contest is gonna be a joke, infact the last decent dunk contest was the one Smoove won(not being a homer, just being real), that one also had Amare doing great dunks. These last few dunk contest have been horrible and this one will be no diffrent. In 2005 the Nate Robinson contest, I remember reading that the league told the judges to keep giving Nate Robinson high scores so he could be in the finals, everyone with eyes could see he stunk up that night, but the NBA wanted their ratings and that's what ruin the night. Last year was just as bad if not worst, heck I don't even remember most of the dunks, the only one I could remember was that nice dunk by Dwight Howard where he put the sticker on the top of the backboard. After that nothing, it was another boring dunk contest full of scrubs with the exception of D12. This year it's sort of the same.

Gerald Green-A scrub who we will never hear about again, cause this is the last dunk contest he can enter. He plays on one of the worst team in the league, and can even get much playing time, talk about someone who should have stay in school.

Rudy Gay- The only player I'll be paying attention to, he's the only one I think has the potential to do something i will remember next year,

Dwight Howard- He's okay and everything, but everytime I watch his dunks, he leaves me saying"bleh it's nothing Josh(smith) can't do, only 10x better', plus he's a big man, and how many flashy dunk can they do? I hope he proves me wrong.

Jamario Moon- He's an okay leaper, and everything, but none of his dunks wow me, just a bunch of tomahawks.

Dunk contest is dead!!! I wish they let Smoove enter, he'd make it worth watching.

Josh Smith - Lost 2006 SDC to Nate Robinson, same tomahawks and windmills each time. Would get smoked by Gerald Green in a dunk-off/3 point shootout.

Gerald Green: I'm better jumping off two feet. I can jump off one foot as well, but I think I'm more effective jumping off two. The side of the basket don't really matter.

Why don't you defend your man then Gerald? If you enjoy defending so much..</div>

Josh got robbed in that dunk contest, you can believe Gerald Green is a better dunker all you want, but will he ever get on the court to prove you right...probably not.

The 2006 DC for Josh was a flop.
It was clear that he didn't give a sh!t and ran out of ideas.

Isn't Josh Smith the retard who marked a spot with tape and then proceeded to take one more step with his dunk?

In this dunk contest Smoove didn't miss a single dunk, unlike Nate Robinson who took him 20 tries to complete a one dunk.

    Dude, stop being so ignorant.
Nate's not even 6 ft, his hands are so small and yet he can still pull off some nice dunks.

I'm not taking anything away from Smith but your just being stupid in saiyng he got robbed in the 2006 DC, and then making a statement of how lame it is. Make more sense please.

I'm not taking anything away from Nate, just that when, it takes you 20-30 tries to do a dunk, and then you already know what it is, it becomes lame.Everybody can see he won that contest cause the judges felt sorry for him.

I don't care how small Nate and his hands are. I don't find a guy trying to do a dunk 10 times unsuccessfully entertaining.

There should really be a 2 dunk limit.

What's the deal with the Moon hate? He set a record at the NBA fitness combine with his vertical leap. He has hops and people will see when the dunk contest comes around.
