Do you want Kwame to be re-signed if the Grizzlies end up buying him out and he becomes a free agent?

Currently we only have 14 players on the roster and it could drop to 13 if the team doesn't re-sign DJ Mbenga.

Kwame Brown is a joke. It pisses me off that he is even in the NBA

I wouldn't mind. My main beef with Kwame was that he was way overpaid for what he brings to the table. For crying out loud, he makes more than Marcus Camby and as much as Manu Ginobili, but doesn't do half of what either of them do. If we can get Kwame for around MLE range, I'm all for it. Especially with Mihm's comeback unknown, we could always use more big bodies that are almost 7-feet.

Kwame Brown at $9M a year is a joke, but Kwame at the vet-minimum is bearable. All his teammates love Kwame because he keeps the mood light in the locker room.

He wouldn't have any pressure and the Lakers have no idea what Mihm's status is going to be. Kwame would be a decent backup center for us at this point in the season.

Yup. People will probably stop booing him too now that he isn't expected to do as much.

I'd offer Kwame part of the MLE, maybe most of it.

Do we even have any of the MLE left to offer? I thought we gave that to Fisher. I think we do have the 2.5M trade exception for Tony Battie we could spend on him?

We wouldn't be able to sign him until 30 days after he's released.

I was talking about in the off-season.

I don't know if Memphis will buy him out or not, if they do, I'd give him whatever we could. Some fans simply forget how effective he was as the backup center.
