haha. Congrats guys, I was rooting for you here. Hell, I was rooting for anyone but the Pats! haha The Giants, and especially Eli deserved this. That last minute was possibly the best minute of football I've ever witnessed in my life.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NY GIANTS!!! That was some BALLSY stuff out their tonight! The irresistable force just kicked the immovable object right off the cliff!
It was a toss-up between the first half and the second half, IMO. Tuck was plain dominant in the first, but he and the pass rush wasn't as effective in the second. Conversely, Eli was mediocre early on but engineered some clutch TD drives in the second half. I'm guessing the bias towards the offense and the fact that Eli's heroics had been more recent led to his MVP award. If possible, I would've made them co-MVP's.
This was one of the greatest games I've ever seen, I can't believe my team was the one that pulled it out.

I watched the game with my father tonight. He has watched every Superbowl, and he told me this one was the best one he has ever seen. The thing that I loved the most was the way Plax made his prediction that NE would not score more than 17 points and the Giants would win. It's an even more bold prediction than Joe Namath made in SB3. TIKI BARBER, WE WANNA HEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS TEAM AND T COUGHLIN NOW! great stuff!

I had 10 people over and spent about $400 on food but let me tell you, it was well worth it. We all went out side after the game and screemed like crazy with the rest of my block. One of the best nights ever. I thought the game 2 weeks ago against the Pats was a classic too. In a couple years people are going to look back at these games and remember what they were doing and where they were.
Congrats to the Giants and their fans. If ESPN had any balls, they would play Brady's quote where he responded to Plex over and over.
congrats guys. i decided to cheer for the Giants about midway through when that poor guy couldn't get off the field in time and the Pats got a first down off a penalty. i just thought that dude would probably hang himself if the Giants lost, so I hoped his team would recover ... and they did!

And Chut, I was right about Brandon before, although he at least earned that fourth and 1 on the last drive of the game.

Defense won the game, and the biggest reason for the defensive success was the line.

I agree with the receivers letting him down early. Eli engineered all of our successful drives and I don't even think any of our failed ones were his fault. Brandon Jacobs had a disappointing game, but I don't mind because he did such an excellent job blocking. The Pats really were committed to stopping our run last night. Even Bradshaw had a difficult time down the stretch. However, on that 4th and 1, I did not feel that worried. Jacobs rarely gets stopped for no gain or behind the line of scrimmage. The dude's so powerful and big that you're guaranteed at least a yard or two on each carry.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ghoti @ Feb 4 2008, 09:26 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>It feels even better today!</div> What made it even better for me was going into work. My desk isn't far from a hardcore cowboys fan (going by what he says, they shouldn't have lost since about...ever. Everytime they have, it was just because the refs screwed them out of it. That has been what he has said after every loss for the past 2 seasons. It was never because the other team did anything right). So I walk in and say "How about that game?" and his responce: "There's around 50 guys in Dallas right now who are going to be pissed off, since the team they clearly outplayed earlier in the playoffs won it all. That championship should be in Dallas." Made my day.
