On more than one occasion this year, Bill Belichick and the Patriots have run up the score on an overmatched opponent, and forced an opposing coach to sit there and watch his beaten team go through the motions while their heineys were being handed to them.

But when the shoe's on the other foot, and Bill Belichick's team has been beaten, he can't sit there and take the pain for a few seconds.

With :02 left on the clock, and his team just having failed on a last chance 4th down effort, Bill Belichick ran onto the field for a quick handshake, and then bolted for the locker room. Belichick's an important guy and everything, but I wasn't aware that the league had given him the authority to decide when games end.</div>

Of course he is. Its not exactly groundbreaking news either. He may be a great coach, but the dude's been an absolute douche since as long as I can remember.

Hes absolutely classless. Zero sportsmanship, but hes far from the only person who exhibits that. Its the fact that he left his team before the game was even over the really solidifies his douchiness. He knew his team still had to play out that down but he didn't care, he just walked off and left his team to figure it out themselves.

It doesn't matter if there was 1 second left. He left his team when he realized that he had lost. Its not exactly quitting on his team since the game was decided but if I were on the Pats I would be pretty pissed at him.

BB makes his mentor (Parcells) & buddy (Saban) seem downright amiable & easy going.

I don't like him but I know he's a great coach and am not willing to pile on him for this little infraction.

What was really classless however, was the Redskins game this year. Running the score up is obnoxious.

They have been drinking his kool aid all year buying into the motivation of Us v the World that he has probably been using since Spygate hit the fan. In fact, Vrabel's comments after Shula's initial comments about the Pats possibly being perfect is the ideal example of my theory.

Well, I will admit he certainly isn't graceful as Dungy; or even Big Ben after he lost to the Jags and waited for Garrard to finish an interview in order to say goodbye to him.

You know, Randy Moss did the same thing once when he played for the Minnesota Vikings.

Belicheat + Moss = Zero Sportsmanship.

Is anyone suprised the cheater is a bad sport? Isnt this the same guy that refused Dungys hand last year?

You're not going to pile on him...but you started this thread asking if he was a sore loser?

I'm not going to defend Belichick's actions at the end of the game, but you can't start this thread and then seven minutes later say you're not going to pile on him.

As if that could have lowered the opinion anyone has of him. For 99% of non-Pats fans, their opinion of Bill couldn't get any lower.

I think it's piling on. The clock ran out and they put time back on so there'd have to be a final knee play. He was already on the field congratulating the Giants on their win.

Most of the Patriots players were already in the locker room as well. Looked like we had to wait for enough to come back out to field 11 so the final play could be run.

As far as a I know there was confusion whether the clock had run out and there was 1 second left on the clock, but by that time, Bill was congratulation the Giants.

Obviously i wouldnt expect the biggest cheater in the history of sports to be a good sport. He is sore winner and a sore loser. Hopefully he will get the lifetime ban he deserves

I felt like posting a funny article.

I found the author amusing, but that doesn't mean I agree with his message. I even said "you youngsters decide", so lay off.

There's really no reason why Bill should have stayed, he probably had someone taping the game for him.

Pretty much exactly what I was going to post. Everybody was on the field, Coughlin and Belichick had already had their handshake. The NFL should have just ended the game, it was stupid of them to break all of that up and send out 22 players for a kneel down.

The clock did hit all zeros and it's really been blown out of proportion IMO. What I thought was worse is the fact Bellicheck didn't give any praise to Coughlin in the post game press conference.

He ran early because he wanted to get out of that red kryptonite shirt that the league no-doubt made him wear instead of the hoodie.
