<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Courtesy of NetsDaily)</div><div class='quotemain'>All that’s lacking is a conference call to announce the deal, reports Dave D’Alessandro. Jason Collins is already in Memphis, where he is likely to back up Darko Milicic and Stromile Swift is expected to join the Nets for some basic run-throughs Monday night. Swift, it turns out, knows both Lawrence Frank and Vince Carter from his high school days. Everyone knows to be patient.</div> Waiting on Stro - Dave D'Alessandro - Nets Blast I'm so impatient. I hate waiting for stuff to happen. And Jason Collins isn't gonna start in Memphis?? Wtf?
umm... memphis has warrick, darko, kwame in front of the still. he'll probably play 10 mpg cuz he sux
Warrick sucks too you know. The only time the guy ever put up good numbers was when Gasol was out and his team is losing.
These guys are trying to use the Suns style. Iavaroni was a Sun assistant recently and has said he would like to use their running style in Memphis.

Should that tell us something?
Warrick does not suck but he's no Tim Duncan either. Kwame will be bought out and Collins will take Warricks spot in the starting lineup.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ZAE @ Feb 4 2008, 05:02 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>It's official via WFAN.</div> from the sports ticker http://sportstwo.com/NBA/Story/NBA/1631553 The New Jersey Nets are the latest team to take advantage of the Memphis Grizzlies' housecleaning. As expected, the Nets and Grizzlies finalized a deal Monday which sent forward Stromile Swift to New Jersey for center Jason Collins. The trade comes three days after Memphis shipped franchise player Pau Gasol to the Los Angeles Lakers for center Kwame Brown, rookie guard Javaris Crittenton, guard Aaron McKie and first-round picks in 2008 and 2010. The latest deal relocates former first-round picks that have largely disappointed in their NBA careers. Swift, who is averaging 6.8 points and 3.7 rebounds in 35 games this season, did not play another game for the Grizzlies after serving a one-game team suspension for a verbal altercation with Memphis coach Marc Iavaroni during a 103-84 loss to the Dallas Mavericks last Monday. The second overall selection in the 2000 draft, Swift will be joining the third team after spending his first 7 1/2 seasons with the Grizzlies and Houston Rockets. He is averaging 8.7 points and 4.8 rebounds over his 507-game NBA career. Collins is averaging just 1.4 points and 2.1 rebounds this season. He is making $6.1 million this season and is scheduled to collect $6.2 million in 2008-09, which is the final year of his contract. Selcted 18th overall in the 2001 draft, the 7-foot Collins has career averages of 4.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in 510 career games with the Nets.

Hakim Warrick was never overrated to be "Carmelo part 2". That doesn't even make sense. I think you made it up. I'm callin you out on bullshit. Hakim Warrick came to Syracuse before Carmelo. Hak plays down low, at the 4, while Carmelo's a perimeter player, at the 3. Carmelo has an extremely good shooting touch, while Hak mainly scores down low, near the basket, on dunks, layups, and post moves. Carmelo is 10 times the player Hak is, and everyone knows it, and everyone's always known it. (Sheesh, I hate it when I joke around and people don't get it.)

Bucher had some good things and some not so good things to say about him before the draft. Seriously Johnny Flynn and Donte Greene are better than him and they aren't recieving enough hype imo
