<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"We just need to play better, regardless of any extenuating circumstances," said Frank, who drew no comparisons between Bryant and Jason Kidd Jason Kidd , the Nets' own wantaway star and biggest extenuating circumstance. "The more you win, the better people feel about themselves, and each other. But I don't think this is a case where we win and now Jason changes his mind.</div>

    Am I understanding that correctly?

Think he wants to win more than regular season games, maybe the pay (contract extension), or to get away from his previous marriage?

More importantly, winning won't change MY mind.

    I want him gone.

I believe he meant they need to win regardless of Jason's situation and not for the purpose of changing his mind.

He's been through it before last year, we sucked until the break, and finished off well enough to earn a matchup with the Raptors.....and in the 2nd round, we'll be seeing Boston or Detroit. So winning makes it fun, but without and extension, he doesn't change his mind. By this summer he can get a 2 year extension, right now it's just one.

I wouldn't worry about winning if I were you. Once Kidd leaves, so does the Nets.
